I did not move.

The two lights hung side by side in the night sky.

They did not fall. They did not fade. They did not speak.

They simply remained there, watching me as if they were waiting for me to understand something I could not yet see.

The balcony doors opened behind me.

Silas stepped outside.

He looked up.

His expression changed immediately.

"There are two," he said quietly.

I nodded.

"I know."

He came to stand beside me, his shoulder brushing mine.

"What does it mean?"

"I don't know."
