The name remained in the air long after Nyx stopped speaking.

The First Shadow.

I stared at her, trying to understand what I had just heard.

I had faced shadow wolves. I had fought the Shadow Queen. I had stood against the Moon Goddess herself.

But this was different.

The First Shadow was not another enemy.

It was the darkness that had existed before them all.

"How do we stop it?" I asked.
