The shadows on the horizon grew larger with every passing day.

From the highest battlement, I stood beneath the fading light and watched them spread across the distant hills. What had once looked like a thin line of darkness had become a moving sea of black.

Thousands of shadow wolves were gathering beyond the borders of Lunaria.

Their eyes glowed crimson even from this distance, like thousands of dying flames waiting for the wind to bring them back to life. Their howls drifted across the valley, low and haunting, making the warriors standing beside me tighten their grips on their weapons.
