TESSA POV

"Whether you believe it or not is your problem, not mine."

I looked straight into Soren's eyes. For once, I didn't feel the need to explain myself to him. Not anymore.

He stared at me as though the woman in front of him was someone he had never met. Maybe she was. The Tessa he knew had spent years trying to make him happy. She had loved him so much that she ignored every insult, every humiliation, every time he chose Maya over her.

That Tessa was gone.
