It had been one week since I was reborn. Only one week.

Yet when I looked at myself in the mirror this morning, I almost didn't recognize the woman staring back. Not because my face had changed, I was still Tessa, still chubby, still the same girl people had mocked and dismissed as nothing more than a poor orphan. But something behind my eyes had shifted.
