RODEN'S POV:-

I was staring at the huge wolf Cora had. After Xanus explained everything to me, I finally realised how important Cora could be for my pack. With that big of a wolf, our pack would be invincible. "What are you waiting for, you idiot? Are you not supposed to mark her? This is why we came here. Just go and mark her. It's her first shift. She will be frustrated. That means, it will be a lot easier to mark her now." Xanus asked me in an annoyed tone. His voice pulled me out of the oceans of my thoughts. I was thinking about everything Xanus had been telling me. And after combining all the information I had gotten, I couldn't help but think.

It was almost impossible. It didn't make any sense. First, I saw mother Alicia performing a dark magical ritual. Then, I saw Cora shifting. And right after that, I learned that her wolf could be the descendants of one of the wolf God or Goddess. "How is that even possible? Why does she have a wolf like that? And why my father and mother Alicia kept her at the alpha's mansion as a slave. Aren't Wolf Gods and Goddesses and their descendants respected by the whole werewolf world?" I asked Xanus in a low tone. I just couldn't figure out why my father had done that. And after everything, my father would keep Cora locked in. And I was certain that my father was afraid of Cora.

Hearing my questions, Xanus only growled at me in annoyance. I could understand his frustration. He didn't want to lose that opportunity. It was the only chance we had to make Cora ours. "Just mark her, you fucking idiot. Your father's men can be here any moment. If you don't mark her, I will kill you myself. So don't you dare test my patience, you fucking moron." Xanus roared at me angrily. I sighed as I knew there was no way I could win against him. And he was not going to answer any of my questions until I had done what he wanted me to do. He was right. The way my father was ready, it meant his men would be near.

I couldn't get caught until I had marked Cora. It was the only way for us to be together. If my father wanted to play me. I was going to play the game that he played years ago to become the Alpha of our pack. I was born to be an Alpha. So I didn't need to use his tricks. I let Xanus take over my body. Her wolf was big. If I had tried to mark her in my human form, Cora was sure going to rip me apart. Once Xanus came out, he ran straight towards Cora's wolf. She was trashing the whole place as if she was angry about something. Xanus ran towards Cora's wolf and jumped upon her. His eyes were on the spot where he was supposed to mark her.

To my surprise, Cora's wolf turned and tried to claw Xanus in his face. Xanus was quick to push himself away from Cora. Xanus fell down on the ground. Cora's wolf howled loudly and she ran straight towards us. Her eyes darted at Xanus' throat. It started to feel like it was not just a first shift thing. It felt like she was actually attacking us. And she only had one goal. To kill me at any cost. As Cora's wolf got closer, Xanus kicked the tree beside him to move his body away from Cora's wolf. She howled at Xanus again as she ran towards Xanus to catch him. "Why is she attacking us like this?" I asked Xanus out of curiosity.

I was seeing the fire inside her eyes. It was mixed with many emotions. All the dark emotions were swimming in her deep green eyes. I was rage, hatred and thirst to kill me inside her eyes. "You are not thinking that she would let us mark us that easily. She is the descendant of a Goddess. She will do everything she can so no one can dominate her. She will not let us mark her first. We need to let her mark us. She is looking at my neck. It means, she is willing to mark me. All I have to do is lie straight on the ground and let her do whatever she wants." Xanus replied to me in a low tone.

I was not sure if that was the case or Xanus was just too naive to see that with his own eyes. I was not sure if Cora's wolf was actually as crazy as Xanus was to mark her mate. For some reason, I felt there was nothing she was excited about marking Xanus the way he was. "I think this is a bad idea, Xanus. She isn't horny. She looks like she wants her fur to be drenched with our blood." I told Xanus as I looked into Cora's eyes through Xanus' eyes. Her wolf was surly out of control. And she was giving us a hard time. Xanus and I were trained as Alpha. That meant, defeating us was nearly impossible.

It made sense that her ancestors were Gods and Goddesses. Maybe that was the reason we seemed an easy target to Cora's wolf. But that was not all. The rage and bloodlust was not like the first shift. It almost felt like a prisoner being released after decades. "Just trust me. I know what I am doing. She will mark us first. Or she will not let us mark her. That's the only way." Xanus replied to me in a calm tone. He laid down straight on the ground and stretched his neck to give Cora's wolf enough access. I swear I saw a mischievous grin on her wolf's face when she saw Xanus lying on the ground calmly as ever.

THIRD PERSON'S POV:-

Cora's wolf, Lucy, attacked Xanus. Her only instinct was to kill Xanus. Alicia kicked Xanus to push him away from Lucy. "What the heck are you doing? You have no idea what she is. You can't control her. She is coming to kill you. Get the fuck away from her." Alicia yelled at Xanus as she turned around and punched Lucy in the face. Lucy went flying away from Xanus. A few guards alsi jumped in. They helped Xanus up on his feet first. Then they jumped into the fight with Lucy. As Lucy saw Alicia's face, she howled so loudly that it almost shook the ground. Roden shifted back into his human form and ran towards the mountains.

He laid down on the edge of the cliff to see what was happening. It was not a tall mountain. So Roden could see everything clearly. The guards and Alicia nad encircled around Lucy. Lucy was growling while looking at each and everyone of the guards that were around her. "We need to get to her. Catch her and pin her with the ground. Just one last dose and she will be no more." Roden's eyes widened as he heard Alicia. At first, he couldn't believe his ears that Alicia was ready to kill Cora. But of course, nothing was true when it came to Alicia. Roden couldn't help but think if Alicia was a werewolf. Because Roden never once has seen Alicia in her wolf form.

The guards pounced together on Lucy. Their only goal was to catch and pin Lucy with the ground. All power over her at once made Lucy a little weak. The guards were able to pin her with the ground. Two of the guards forced open Lucy's mouth. Alicia appeared with a huge bottle in her hands. There was a liquid inside the bottle. Xanus could smell a dark magical potion inside the bottle. As Alicia was about to dump all the potion inside Lucy's mouth, she snapped her jaws back. The two guards lost their arms and Alicia lost one of her arms. Lucy kicked all the guards away from her. One after another, she clawed each guard and killed them. Her white shiney fur was drenched with red blood.

Xanus jumped in again to stop Lucy. He wanted to save Alicia's life. Xanus howled at Lucy. But Lucy howled louder at Xanus, making Xanus submit to Lucy. As Xanus lowered his head, Lucy ran towards Xanus to rip his throat out. Alicia kicked Xanus out of her way and splashed the potion on Lucy's face. Lucy growled as she backed away. A huge amount of potion was inside her mouth. She tried to puke it out but nothing happened. Lucy ran towards Alicia and ripped her apart. She ripped all the bodies around her into shreds. Xanus ran away, as he saw Lucy's madness. He knew there was nothing that could stop her. While Lucy fell down on the ground and lost consciousness.

BACK IN TIME:-

Cora had nothing left that she could do. She was lying outside of Alpha Alvin's office. She was crying hard as this was the only thing she wanted. And her fate was taking that away from her as well. Cora hoped back up on her feet again and wiped her tears. "I don't care what you say. Roden promised me that I belong to him and he belongs to me. If we both marked each other, there is nothing Alpha Alvin could do. After all, Roden is the future Alpha." Cora thought to herself as she walked back into the mansion. She was determined to meet Roden. She was determined for the first time in her life to get what she wanted.

She knew that Roden must be in his bedroom at that time in the morning. She didn't waste anymore time and walked straight towards Roden's bedroom. She stopped in front of Roden's bedroom door and took a deep breath. Just as she was about to grab the knob, she heard some voices from inside. Cora quietly opened the door and peeked inside the room. Cora's eyes welled up as she saw Roden's mouth on another woman's pussy. The woman was moaning in pleasure while Roden was the one giving her pleasure. "It can't be. He can't betray me. He never lied to me. Then why?" Cora thought to herself while she was staring at the erotic scene in front of her.

Roden turned his face towards the door as if he already knew that Cora was standing there. While staring straight into her eyes, he licked that unknown woman's pussy again. "I can't be with you. I need to maintain a reputation. And I can't do it with a slave by my side. You were born to be slave. Not Luna.
