Chapter 3 :3

Chapter 3 :3

Rosa's P.O.V

It was a dawn of another new day and even though I preferred to remain in the confinement of my home, I don't think that would be the same issue today because I have literally ran out of everything at home.

I have tried talking Jenna into helping with buying what I needed at the shopping mall. I even compiled a list of the stuffs that I needed but she outrightly declined.

She claimed that I needed to get out of my solitary confinement, describing my life as a prison where I caged myself inside.

I even tried bribing her with her favorite snacks but she didn't even budge. I grunted, locking the door of the house. A cab was waiting for me outside.

Ever since the last incident at the club, I have stayed at home for the past three days, enjoying my own company and Jenna's company. I have indulged myself in a lot of activities that would enable me to forget about that horrible experience and thankfully, I was able to forget it gradually but as soon as I stepped out the door, the memories began to refresh inside my head again.

I brought out my phone, sending a text to Jenna " All thanks to you, the memories are coming back again. I hate you."

She replied with a laughter emoji. "Get it over with and meet other dudes! You are not going to stay single for the rest of your life just because your lost your V-card! Enjoy life, meet other dudes, have the fun of your life and just move on! Life goes on, stop dwelling on your past. Your favorite friend, Jenna"

I let out a soft chuckle on reading her message, whenever she wrote like this, I was sure that she was reading it loud to no one other than Jason.

"I know you with Jason" I replied back as she replied with a middle finger emoji.

I switched off my screen and slipped my phone down my hoodie's pocket. I let out a sigh as I caught sight of the shopping mall from afar. It has been long since I have gone to a shopping mall, it was Jenna who helped me with whatever I wanted to get. The only thing I needed to do was just to compile a list of the things needed and like they say, everything is history.

Seeing the shopping mall from afar made me have some mixed reactions, a part of me felt happy and a part of me felt sad and the annoying thing was that I couldn't even wrap my head around the reason why I was sad about it.

"Get it over with, Rosa! Get it over with"

After alighting from the cab, I dashed into the shopping mall, buying anything that I could lay my hands on. I could feel the excitement rising as I kept filling the shopping cart with just anything.

If Jenna were to be here, she would have reprimanded me immediately but that wouldn't stop her from taking twice of what I took. As long as I would be paying with my money, then she was surely ready to help me in lavishing it.

While shopping, I bumped into someone who was wearing a black face cap and a black face cover. Everything that was in the shopping cart that I clutched tightly to, littered on the ground.

"Sorry" I heard a deep husky voice say, walking off.

I glanced behind me and almost yelled for him to come help me rearrange it back into the shopping cart but his nonchalant behavior and the way he walked away hastily stopped me from lashing out at him or maybe I stopped him because of the odd vibe that I felt from him. He was more like the type of person, someone shouldn't be around for long.

I crouched down, hissing out, as I started rearranging it back into the cart but while cussing out in my mind, I had a weird feeling that felt like I was being watched at the moment.

I stood still for a second, looking around me but I couldn't see anyone acting or behaving suspiciously. I shoved the thoughts of my head and continued what I was doing. I stood up, dusting my hands off. My next plan was to go to the book section and get some stationeries and some news books that I wanted to try.

Now that I think about it, coming to the shopping mall wasn't really that bad of an idea because the truth was that I had fun shopping.

After carefully selecting the books that I wanted to read, I was about to go to the counter and make payments when it felt like someone was walking closely behind me. I paused at my track, looking behind me but all I saw was people going around, doing their normal business.

I was feeling weird because every step I took, it felt like someone was calculating my moves and took the same step as mine.

When I would glance behind me in order to catch the person, I would find no one acting suspiciously. My mind must be playing pranks on me! It must have been my mind.

I went about my normal business, proceeding to pay at the counter when I suddenly recollected that I needed to get wine for myself and Jenna. When I was done making my payment, I went towards the section where the alcohols were being sold but somehow, not a lot of people were there and the two couples that I met there, left as soon as I got there.

I didn't really pay attention to me being the only one there until I caught someone staring at me with the corner of my eyes. It was the same person that I bumped into! I glanced off and when I turned to look at the man again, he wasn't there again.

Even though he was gone, it still felt like someone was following me. I dropped the shopping cart filled with wine on the floor and started to walk towards the exit, the more I increased my pace, the more it felt like the person following me did the same thing that I did. The mystery was whenever I stopped, nobody was behind me.

I wasn’t interested in the mystery! The only thing that I knew was that someone was following me.

I heaved a sigh of relief on getting to the exit, but as soon as I opened the door of the exit, someone was standing right in front of me with a mischievous grin on his face. When I retracted my step back, my back hit a well chiseled and muscular chest. A gasp escaped my lips when I saw the person standing behind me.
