Jack's P.O.V
As soon as I came back from my Dreamland, the scent that got me hooked throughout the night was gone. When I flicked my eyes open, I couldn't find her on the bed, could she be in the shower?
I leapt up from the bed, wrapping the sheets around my waist as I walked towards the bathroom, a smile formed on my face when I remembered the memories of last night.
It was the best night that I have ever had! I knocked on the bathroom's door, waiting for an answer "Hey Rosa, are you there?"
When I saw that I didn't get any reply from her, I increased the pace at which I knocked, banging my fist on the door. I was scared that maybe something bad happened to her.
At the moment, I hated the thoughts that flew through my head because could it be that she fell and hit her head against the floor? Seeing that I got no response from her, I kicked the door open only to see that no one was inside.
I ran my hands through my hair in frustration as my brows furrowed into a frown. I searched my eyes around the room for her clothing and that was when it dawned on me that Rosa already left the room. All her belongings were gone!
I slipped the shirt over my head, wearing my jean trousers. Maybe she was outside and just needed a breathe of fresh air? She couldn't just leave me after all the chemistry that happened between us last night.
I ran inside the club that was being cleaned at the moment but she wasn't there. "Where could she be?" I muttered.
I walked to the outside of the club, checking around for her. I have been searching for her for some minutes now and I was beginning to get infuriated that my search for her was about to be proven abortive.
A security guard who seemed to have noticed my restlessness walked towards me with a baton in his hands. "Sir, are you okay?" He asked, staring at me.
I nodded my head, muttering a "No." He looked at me suspiciously and I couldn't blame him because I looked pretty rough with my tousled hair, puffy eyes and I was sure that I reeked of alcohol to top it all.
"What is the problem?" He said, hitting the baton on his hand.
"Please did you like see a woman leave this hotel in a short black gown?" I asked as he stared at me confusingly.
"Can you give a better description so that I would be able to help you" The security guard said.
Of course! I could give him a better description because I could never forget how she looked like.
"She has this dark long hair, light blue eyes. They look like puppy eyes and gleam like all the stars are gathered inside, she's extremely beautiful" I said, describing her with my hands when the security guard let out a chuckle.
My brows were arched in confusion because I just couldn't decipher what was funny" Did you see anyone that fitted my description?"
He cleared his throat, shaking his head slowly before proceeding to talk "Actually, I think I saw a lady that fitted into your description, she's of average height right? She has a skin like a white porcelain doll?"
"Yes! That’s her!" I nodded, as a glimpse of hope spiraled inside of me.
"So where's she?" I asked, smiling nervously like I couldn't wait to see her.
"She left already"
It felt like every part of me deflated after hearing what he said, she left? But why? Why did she leave just like that? Did I do anything wrong?
A lot of questions that I had no answer too was running inside my head and I could feel my wolf howl in sheer disappointment.
Me being disappointed was an understatement because I was totally heart broken and it felt like every piece of my heart was being shredded into pieces.
How could I find my mate in a night and the next day, she has disappeared! There was no probability that I would even see her again.
"She waved down a taxi and left but she looked like she was petrified...."
"Petrified?" I cut in.
"Yes that was the look on her face this morning. I would have stopped her but with the way she walked hastily, I couldn't stop her"
As soon as he was done talking, I felt a surge of anger rising inside of me. It was not towards Rosa but it was towards the security guard who couldn't stop her before she ran off.
However, I held myself back, because at the end, it wasn't his fault but it was mine. If I hadn't slept so much, maybe I would have stopped her from running away.

I went back home sullen after my search for Rosa was rendered futile. When I opened the door with my keys, the aroma of fried eggs hit me in the nose and I knew that it was Marc already.
"Yo, where have you been?" Marc asked, leaning against the kitchen counter with his eyes narrowing back at me.
"The club" I said grumpily, settling down on the couch as I curled in a fetal position.
He seemed to notice the sadness in my voice and even though I wasn't looking towards his direction, I could hear his footsteps approaching where I was.
"What's wrong?" He crouched down next to me, staring at me in the eye as I pushed him away gently.
"Stop staring at me like that" I whined while he began to laugh hysterically.
"You need to go take a bath, you reek of alcohol and you stink of sex” He remarked with his nose crunched upward in disgust.
I only shook my head slowly, I wasn't in the mood for his teasing. "Marc just go away, don't fucking get on my nerves" I buried my face on the arm cushion.
"I’m not going until you tell me what's wrong" He said, standing up from the floor.
Maybe I should just tell Marc about my predicament. Telling him would remove the pain and agony that I felt inside of me.
"Jake, you are not going to tell me anything?"
"Alright! I would" I shrugged, sitting upright on the bed as he sat on the couch across me.
I took in a deep breathe, glancing at Marc whose face was devoid of any emotion. That was how he has always been, he was really hard to read and you could hardly know what's going through his mind.
"S-So..." I stuttered, lowering my head again.
"Just speak up! You are starting to get annoying now" Marc said with a grin on his face that gave me eerie vibes.
"Alright fine, last night at the club, I kind of like found my mate?”
A deafening silence enveloped in the room while I glanced at Marc who had an astonished look on his face, his mouth was slightly agape before it curved into a curious grin.
"You’re kidding right?!"
"Bro, I’m not"
"Woah, that's some huge news right there, Jake. I’m happy for you but I still don't get why you are sad? You should be happy, not sad" Marc said.
"Marc, I wasn't done talking" I sighed, lowering my gaze.
"So what exactly is the problem?"
"The problem is that after we both had an intimate night yesterday, I woke up this morning to see that she has disappeared. I don't have her phone number, I don't know anything about her, the only thing I know about her is her name and...."
Before I was done talking, Marc burst into a laughter that infuriated me "It isn't funny!" I yelled at him.
"I-I know" He said, trying to control his laughter.
"Marc! This isn't even funny, it's a matter that concerns my heart and most especially, my future" I said as he continued to make fun of me.
Sharing my predicament with Marc was an huge mistake, I shouldn't have expected much from him when I knew that he was just going to act all goofy about it.
All of a sudden, as I was about to leave for my room in anger and because of Marc's irritating laughter, a thought popped inside my head as I made a U-turn and walked towards Marc.
"Marc, I need your help with something"
"With what?" His brows furrowed in confusion.
"With finding my mate" I said as a mischievous smile crept at the corner of his lips.
"Hmmm"
"Please don't say no, Marc" I said, pleading my eyes.
"Come on Jake, why would I say no? I am also interested in meeting your mate. I want to meet the woman that has made my brother this heart broken, she would be fun"
"Thank you, Marc" I said, placing my hand on my forehead as my eyesight was starting to get blurred.
"I don't think that the effect of the alcohol on you has worn off" Marc said as I nodded slowly.
"You know what, just rest for a while. I would find your mate for you but at the moment, your health matters" Marc added, hanging his hand over my shoulder as he led me into the bedroom, helping me get on the bed as he pulled the sheets over me.
"Thank you brother"
" What are you thanking me for? I would make you an hangover soup later because I want to go out for gas, I would be back soon so rest for the mean time"
"Oh! Thank you Marc, please find Rosa for me, I beg of you"
"Can you just shut it already? I said I would find her for you! No more mate talks, just rest!"
With that, Marc slammed the door and then left while the thoughts of Rosa lingered on in my head.
