Jack's POV
I couldn't describe the anger I felt in me when Marc said my mate was the same as his. How was this happening? I believe our ancestors were making a big freaking mistake and it won't be tolerated.
I could feel the spark between my mate and me anytime we gaze at each other and I couldn't wait to have her again my arms without Mark trying to interfere.
I sneered at him. "She is mine and mine alone, I won't share her with you or anyone else," I said to Marc for the last time before he pushed me away from him just as roughly. I could tell he was trying his damn hardest not to fight me back.
The Marc I knew would have had me locked in a choke hold but so far, he has been on the defensive. Maybe it’s because he is not messing around this time and I’m just too upset to reason things out with him.
"Can you just cool off already?, we have always shared every fucking damn thing, Jack. You have had the same girls with me and we screwed them together on the same bed so what is making this one different?" He grounded out and it only made me angrier.
All I knew was I didn't want to share Rosa with anyone and especially not him and all he had to do was get that into his thick skull for once.
"I don't want you looking at her or even imagining the possibility of screwing her Marc, I forbid you from mentioning her name even” I snarled through gritted teeth and he scoffed.
"That will be hard to say, Jack, we have grown past this. I don't think a woman should make us enemies, especially one that is mated to the both of us and besides," Marc replied to me.
"I don't give a fuck. I am still not sharing her with you and that’s final” I deadpan, leaving no further room for argument as my mind continue to reel with the thought of my mate over and over again.
I could recall the memories of last night. The face my mate had made as I thrust into her deeply. The shy look she gave me when I stared at her and the attraction between us was incomparable to none.
I don't think I can stand the thought of seeing her like that with someone else even if it was my own brother. I never knew I had this possessive side in me until the thought of sharing what was actually mine.
"You do know what will happens if she reject one of us right? So instead of getting all jealous and possessive, I suggest you think twice," Marc said to me as I turned to walk back toward the door.
I halted at his words. I could remember clearly what was to come if we ever got mated to the same woman and one of us get rejected.
I never thought something like that could happen but if Marc words were anything to go by then and I don’t want it to imagine what will happen if Rosa reject either one of us and heck, it won’t be me.
Even though I hated the idea of another man touching Rosa, I won’t be able to turn my back on reality if Marc was telling the truth as i turned to face him. I remembered I hadn't asked him how come my mate was in the mansion all of a sudden.
“You were the one that brought her here?”
He nodded.
"How did you find her?" I questioned him and he smirked. The face he made was annoying to me and I wished I could smack that stupid smile he had off his face.
"It seems our mate has enemies, Jack," he answered me and my eyes furrowed in confusion.
Say what now?
"Enemies?" What are you talking about?" I questioned him and he shrugged.
"I had to save your supposed mate from some men who claimed someone had sent them. Although, he claimed they weren't supposed to harm her but how are we supposed to know that?"
"And I bet you killed him instead of interrogating him thoroughly?" I said to him with a knowing glare.
"I couldn't bear them hurting her, all I knew was I felt irritated that he had touched what was mine and I couldn't think clearly after that," he admitted truthfully.
"It is a pity then that her supposed savior wasn't acknowledged by who he saved." I taunted him and he shot me a warning glare.
"We will have to wait for her decision, I didn't choose her as my mate. It happened naturally so she is ours," I heard him say and I frowned slightly.
I wish this was some prank but seeing his reaction is no different from mine, I can tell it’s real. We are both bonded to the same woman whether I like the idea or not.
Werewolves had just a mate who stuck to them till death and when they die they don't find another unless the former mate reincarnated into someone else. So, I wondered how we were going to work this out but I knew we had this.
"We will make this workout," "together," I added. " I need to go back downstairs," I said to him and he nodded his head at me.
I patted him gently on the shoulder and walked toward the door, heading downstairs where I assume our mate to be waiting.
I walked down the hallway contemplating if I should jump down because the distance felt longer but I decided against it. I didn't want to scare my mate anymore although she looked terrified watching me fight with Marc earlier.
I halted my step at the staircase. She wasn't sitting on the couch anymore. I quickly jumped down the stairs landing perfectly well on the shining marble tile but she was nowhere to be found.
Rosa's scent was faint, bringing me to the conclusion that Rosa had run away and I wondered how that was possible?
"Marc," I screamed out. I didn't receive an answer so I screamed furiously again.
"Fucking hell, Marc!” I shouted again and my voice seemed to echo in the large sitting room.
"What is it?" I heard Marc's question before he came strolling toward the stairs.
"Rosa is gone," I answered him as I watched the bored expression on his face quickly turn into one of panic.
"Where is she?" He questioned, his eyes narrowing suspiciously at me.
"I don’t know. Her scent is faint," I replied and heard him growl under his breath. He was obviously frustrated as I was.
It seems Rosa had left while we were trying to rip out each other throats like animals without even realizing she had.
“She couldn’t have gone far, we need to go after her and bring her back”
"I wonder if she will be able to find her way home or if she is lost in the wood currently because she was brought here unconscious," Marc said out loud.
I had the same thought as him and I hope Rosa was okay at this moment. There was one way to find out which was to follow her scent. Although it was faint I would be able to track it.
I walked toward the center table and picked up the car key on top of it. "Let's go," I said to Marc who stared at me weirdly. I took a glance at him and noticed he wasn't properly dressed.
"2 minutes Marc," I said to Marc and I watched as Marc ran up the stairs heading toward his room. I sat down on the couch Rosa had gotten up from indulging in her scent while running my hands through it.
