Ronan's words suddenly shocked Jeanice. The young man had just said casually that she was his type.
“Ronan! Are you teasing me? Your jokes aren't funny!" Jeanice protested.
Ronan immediately started giggling, whether he was serious or joking, but he didn't respond to Jeanice's words and just went straight into the library.
The place was very spacious, filled with books in rows, and made Jeanice, who liked reading books, look excited.
"Wow, I just found out that this place is big," said Jeanice.
“Isn't it exciting! There! You'll like it," said Ronan, immediately pushing Jeanice back into a hallway where psychology books were on display.
Jeanice's eyes lit up when she saw a row of expensive books on one of the shelves by her favorite publisher.
"How is it, Miss? Have you seen heaven?" asked Ronan.
"Oh my God! You're right! It's amazing!
“I know you definitely like Mandell's books! This one is right!” Ronan pointed out precisely.
"Do you can read my mind?" asked Jeanice, who was surprised.
"Of course not! From all the questions you asked Peter earlier, I know that you are a fan of his books!" Ronan guessed.
“Yes, you're right! This is the newest edition! This library is cool!” said Jeaniace, not expecting that the new edition was even on the display shelf.
“I found this place and I don't need to buy a lot of books,” said Ronan.
"Yeah, let's read!"
The two of them took some books they liked and then sat down in a more crowded area.
"Why here?" Jeanice asked.
"We can chat here, but there was specifically for quiet area, introverted book readers!" Ronan answered, meaning that the area before was a no-talk area.
Jeanice looked around, it turned out that the place Ronan was going to be like a co-working space. Some people were reading, but others were seen in meetings or coordinating student affairs.
“This place is not bad!”
"Even better, you can eat and drink here, provided you don't stain the books!" said Ronan, pointing to a machine selling drinks and snacks.
"Perfect!" said Jeanice, who immediately approached the vending machine to buy some drinks.
“You want a coke?” asked Jeanice, wanting a treat.
“Nope, but I want lemon squash!” Ronan answered.
"Okay,"
Jeanice bought two drinks and two potato snacks. The two of them sat casually and drank while reading.
"Thank you for the treat, I will treat you next time," said Ronan.
"Never mind, it's just a snack."
"Sunday night at The Consulate Restaurant, there was a lot of delicious food there. I paid for it all," said Ronan with his charming face.
"What? The Consulate! The one near the beach?” Jeanice asked.
“Yes, it's great at night. I'll pick you up, okay? Where is your house?" Ronan asked in more detail.
"Oh no, that's too much for potato snacks and fresh drinks,"
"It doesn't matter, that place is one of the many restaurants owned by my family. "So you don't need to hesitate," answered Ronan.
"Good grief? Are you serious?”
"Yup,"
"But I don't want to, I don't expect a reply for food like this," said Jeanice.
“I just wanted to treat you, it's really exciting there! Come on, after all, you can't possibly study on a Saturday night, can you!"
"But I also have an appointment with my friend on Saturday night," answered Jeanice.
"Do you have a date on Saturday night?" asked Ronan.
"No!My friend a woman," explained Jeanice.
"How if we also invite her to join us? I'm happy to have lots of friends. There will be a lot of delicious cuisine," said Ronan.
“Is that so?”
"Yup!"
"That sounds fun, but I'll ask her first," Jeanice answered, thinking of Yolanda.
“Okay, where's your phone?”
"Here, why?"
Ronan just took it and wrote down his cell phone number.
"Call me if your friend agrees."
"Okay,"
“Damn! What time is it?”asked Ronan.
"What wrong?"
"I forget! I have lectures now, I have to go," said Ronan, packing his things.
"A class? At this hour?”
“Yeah, I took acceleration. I have twice the schedule as you, Jeanice,"
"Good grief! You're an ambitious psychologist, apparently."
“Yeah, it seems so. Thank you for accompanying me, enjoy your time! "I'm waiting for good news," said Ronan, smiling and waving away.
"Okay,"
Jeanice observed Ronan's ridiculous behavior. The strange man seemed to be in a hurry so as not to fall behind in the course he was taking.
“Acceleration program, huh? Why did I never know? "It turns out I could have missed important information, never mind, at least I can be more relaxed reading books with normal lectures," said Jeanice, returning to reading her book.
The place, which was initially quite quiet, started to get a little busy when several members of the student senate came to meet there. They use boards and write down schedules of events that are likely to be held shortly.
Seeing the student senate members, Jeanice immediately thought of Evans Gelens. Jeanice's eyes began to search, but there was no figure of the man who almost fell from the 6th-floor balcony there last night.
“Hey, where is he? Is he not coming in today? Is he okay?” Jeanice started to wonder.
Bad thoughts began to occur, and excessive images immediately gathered in Jeanice's brain.
"After I thwarted his efforts last night, did he act recklessly in his room?" Jeanice guessed.
“That's bad! Looks like I have to check around the economics faculty. Yolanda said Evans is a senior in the faculty, if he's not in college that means he's still at home!" muttered Jeanice, who still didn't seem to believe that what Evans did last night wasn't an attempt to end himself.
Jeanice tidied up her books, put them on the table after reading, and immediately left the library room.
"Faculty of Economics!" she muttered.
The girl walked through the classrooms and corridors, she also called Yolanda to ask her to meet her. However, Yolanda did not answer Jeanice's call and sent a message that she had class now.
"Okay, I'll look for him myself," muttered Jeanice, who was seen pacing aimlessly around the economics faculty.
A woman who seemed to know her started to say hello.
"Hey, you! Jeanice!” she called.
Jeanice turned and she saw Cassandra there, one of Peter fan girl.
“Hi,are you a student in the economics department?" asked Jeanice.
“Yup, I'm majoring in accounting," answered Cassandra.
"I see,"
“Yup. What are you doing here? Do you want to try sneaking in and taking an economics class?” Cassandra asked, sulking.
"No, I'm looking for a friend!"
"Who?"
“You know Evans Gelens?” Jeanice asked.
"Good grief! Are you friends with him? Are you sure? He is an ice man in the economics faculty!”
“Ice man? What does it mean?"
"He is very cold, unfriendly, heartless, anti-social, but he is very handsome!" Cassandra answered in detail.
"Yeah, I'm looking for him!" said Jeanice.
"He has the same class as me soon, are you coming?" invited Cassandra.
"Are you sure he's coming?"
"I don't know, but he usually always comes,"
"He might not come."
"So what? Could you possibly approach him? Are you a stalker?” asked Cassandra, wondering.
“No way! Why should I stalk him? Of all the handsome men, why should I choose to stalk Evans?” Jeanice answered.
"Are you sure? Considering he has a fan club, I think many girls are crazy about him," answered Cassandra.
"Good grief!"
“Come on! Follow me!"
Jeanice finally followed Cassandra. She was taken to a class where there was still no Evans.
"He's not here!" said Cassandra.
“As I thought,” answered Jeanice.
"Or maybe he's late, just wait.I am in, bye," Cassandra suggested and enter her class..
Jeanice chose to wait outside the classroom, but after all the students entered and the lecturer arrived, Evans was nowhere to be seen.
"I think he did come to college. I have to go home immediately! Hopefully, he doesn't do anything stupid!” Jeanice muttered, finally rushing away from there.
Because she was worried, Jeanice chose not to take the last class that day. She preferred to return to her rented room to check on the condition of her neighbor, Evans Gelens. If the man did something silly, it could be tragic.
“Hope he doesn't act stupid!” Jeanice muttered.
Walking quite fast, but Jeanice ended up getting stuck in a traffic jam on the highway. The bus she was on stopped right in the middle and didn't move.
“God, what's going on up there?” Jeanice muttered confusedly.
She waited for a long time until, finally, the bus moved slowly, and the clear sky began to turn into dusk. There was an accident that occurred on the side of the road which caused traffic jams and was finally resolved.
Anxious, Jeanice tried to contact the building administrator. She wanted to ask for help from the building administrator to check Evans' room, but her calls were not answered. She tried many times, but many times she didn't get an answer.
"Gosh, what happened? Has something bad happened in my new environment? Is there a corpse? Gosh, this bus takes so long! I have to take a shortcut!” Jeanice muttered.
The girl finally decided to stop at the next stop and chose to go through the park, which was considered the fastest shortcut to get to her rented building. Passing through a fairly large city park, Jeanice ran as fast as she could.
Her long legs were quite fast. It was true, as she said, that she would get to her rented building much faster. But when she got to the other side of the street, she saw Evans Gelens walking out of the building.
"Did I see correctly? Is that Evans?”
Without thinking, Jeanice, who had been worried about her neighbor's condition, immediately followed Evans. She also wanted to make sure that what she saw was Evans Gelens and that he was okay.
The man walked quickly into an alley near the rented building. The sky was already dark because it was already nighttime and the area was quite quiet. No people were passing by in the area, the shops also looked closed.
Jeanice went in there slowly, sneaking because she didn't want Evans to know where she was. Her negative thoughts became stronger. She began to believe that that night, her senior, Evans Gelens, would make a second suicide attempt.
It could be that Evans will jump over a bridge or something scary. Jeanice's negative thoughts grew wilder and she quickened her pace. She didn't want her to lose track of Evans Gelens, the man who almost died last night because he wanted to jump from the balcony.
Evans entered a fairly large old building. The building looks dark from the outside, and she can be sure that the building is no longer used.
“Did he want to commit suicide in this deserted building? Oh Dear Evans, what were you thinking? You're still young and handsome, what's the problem that makes you think about ending your life in a place like this?" Jeanice muttered regretfully.
The building had a fairly high fence that was tightly closed, but Jeanice saw that Evans could get in by sneaking in at the end of the wall, which was slightly cracked and wide enough for an adult to pass through.
“He's reckless! I have to stop it, but I'm scared! It was very dark! What if there's a ghost there?” muttered Jeanice, starting to doubt.
The girl was silent for a while, but who knows what she was thinking, her feet stepped slowly into the dark yard of the empty building.
The atmosphere in the front yard was as terrible as Jeanice had imagined. The place was indeed unkempt, and there were even lots of dry leaves scattered around.
“Evans Gelens! Do you want to commit suicide in a remote place so that it will be difficult for other people to find you? Gosh, you are a poor man," muttered Jeanice, becoming increasingly determined to sneak inside.
"Whatever happens, I will help you, Evans!" muttered Jeanice, who finally entered through a small window that was some distance from the main door that Evans had passed through earlier.
The building looked very dark from the outside, but once Jeanice was inside she could still see clearly. The dim light in the distance kept the place from being completely dark.
Feeling curious, Jeanice walked slowly towards the source of light. She saw a room where a torch was in the middle, providing light.
"What's that? Is there a courage reality show?" Jeanice muttered wonderingly.
She walked closer, she didn't know that as soon as she entered the room someone was watching her.
Jeanice saw several people gathered there. A well-built man wearing a mask was at the front and standing on the higher floor as if he was leading the event. Several people gathered there, and large beast appeared with their eyes glowing red.
"Wolf? Are they a community of animal lovers? Or is there a Halloween celebration? But it's April?” Jeanice wondering.
Jeanice started to feel horrified. That was because the wolves in the room were looking at her and starting to get closer.
"Oh My God!"
“Intruder! Get her!” shouted one of the members there.
