"Are you eavesdropping on our conversation?" 

"I am not. Your voices are quite loud," said Jeanice. 

"You think I believe it?" 

"I wasn't in the sitting room earlier, your voice came into my bedroom," answered Jeanice. 

Evans immediately cut the conversation. 

"Jeanice, please! You shouldn't get involved, you don't need to know something you shouldn't know," said Evans. 

"Okay, I'll shut up!" Jeanice pursed her lips. 

"Good!"
