I walked into the dining hall and the first thing I saw was the pure shock on Sophia’s face.

It was the kind of shock that could not be faked. Her eyes were wide and her mouth had fallen slightly open. Brian sat frozen beside her, staring at me like he was seeing a ghost. My father looked just as stunned. All three of them had clearly believed I was already dead.

For a moment I did not know what to feel. The people who had sold me out were sitting right in front of me, eating in the Alpha’s castle as if nothing had ever happened.
