Myron rasped, “Annabel, I can explain.”

I stared at him, hoping to lash out and say the most hurtful words but nothing came. In fact, I felt nothing looking at him. I did not feel betrayed or hurt.

It made me think back on how he'd told me that we were so very much in love before the accident, how he said London was our home and that we were here for a visit.
