Michelle gasped. I stepped forward.

"Dad, what's the problem?"

He shot me a dead gaze and thundered, "The problem?? You're really asking me what's the problem?"

"I spent hours in that disgusting cell! Never have I ever thought that I would stay in there someday and what did y'all do?" he pointed at a sobbing Vivian, "Especially her?? What did she do?"
