Michelle's POV

I stared at the door to the room, lost in thoughts. Since Samantha was revealed as Annabel's child, it seemed as if all of my essence for the past three years have been taken away from me.

What's worse is the fact that Scott had been lying to me all these years. While I thought he was simply mourning his late daughter by adopting one, he has only being with true daughter all along.

Could this be the reason he never touched me all these years? Am I really a fool for hoping and waiting thinking that with Annabel gone forever, Scott will eventually warm up to me...
