Watching the council members rally around Addison, their voices rising in defense of their precious Luna, made something snap inside of me.

The injustice of it, the sheer theatrical manipulation unfolding before my eyes, was unbearable. Eric stood there, taking the brunt of their scolding, while Addison hid behind her fake tears, basking in their protection.

I slowly stepped forward, my voice cutting through the chaos. "Stop. Just stop slaughtering him." I spoke up.
