Eric’s POV

Casey was crumpled against the me near, her knees drawn up to her chest, her entire body shaking with the force of her tears.

Her face was buried in my shoulder, but I could see the redness creeping up her neck, the way her shoulders heaved with each broken breath.

Something inside me twisted, hard. She released me almost immediately, and buried her head in her palms, as she continues sob uncomfortably.

I crouched down beside her, keeping my voice low and gentle. "Casey? Hey, Casey, it's me, please talk to me what happened to do."

She didn't look up, she didn't acknowledge me at all....
