Selena’s POV

My head hurt so bad as I groaned to myself when I finally gained consciousness and I opened my eyes. Slowly, I remembered how I ran away from Raymond then I found alpha and we got caught again before one of Raymond's men knocked me out on the back of my head.

I let my eyes roam around the surroundings to take in where we were and I noticed that we were still at the spot where we were caught.

Looking forward from where I lay, I saw alpha was all tied up. His hands were tied behind him and he was on his knees which meant he wouldn’t even be able to shift if he wanted to. Raymond purposely tied him up like that because he knew that if he shifted, they would all be dead in seconds. I decided to remain still so they wouldn't know I was awake but Raymond's eyes met mine at that moment and I rolled my eyes in frustration as I realized I had been caught.

He smirked as he came towards me and he knelt in my front before he raised my head up by my chin to look up at him.

“How stupid of you Selena, I thought you were wiser than this to know that you're meant to choose what would benefit you. I can't believe you still wanted to save the alpha so badly. Now, I'm beginning to think that maybe you two had a secret affair going on” he said and he chuckled as I glared at him at his accusation. If only he knew that the alpha was my mate. I wondered how he was going to react to that.

Alpha was a few feet away from me but my body was still extremely hot from the heat and I wanted to cry out in frustration, as I wished the night would come to an end so this moment of heat and need would come to an end. I couldn’t help but wonder why my body was still so hot even though alpha was far away from me and a sudden shock racked through me as I realized that the heat was actually coming from Raymond this time.

His mockery words at me didn’t matter at that time, all the anger in me dissipated like smoke as I stared at him with wide eyes while coming to accept the fact that he was also my mate.

What exactly was happening? What game was the moon goddess playing with me this fateful night? First, it was the alpha, now it was the beta, and my boyfriend who was a traitor to the pack. What direction were things in my life heading to exactly?

I gasped as his grip on my chin tightened when I didn't respond to his earlier statement and slowly, which every passing second, it dawned on him too that I was his mate as he felt the heat too and he quickly pulled his hand from my face.

He stared at me with a horrified look as he came to affect the fact that I wasn't only his girlfriend now, I was also his mate and that was too crazy and shocking for both of us to accept. How could it be possible for me to have two mates? I had never heard of such a thing happening in the history of the star moon pack.

Did that mean I was going to be the first to experience it? Wasn't it a catastrophic thing to happen to one person? My mates were the alpha and the beta for that matter, the two most powerful men in the pack and one of them was a traitor. I wasn't anyone special, I wasn't born with a drop of special blood in me and I grew up with a poor story of having a slut for a mother that I didn't even know my father so why was this happening to me? Why did it have to be me that would have the alpha and beta as my mates on the same night? Why couldn't it be some special and well-known daughter of one of the executives or another alpha from a faraway pack?

I couldn't let Raymond know that alpha was also my mate because I was sure that he would kill him without hesitating.

I wasn't sure if he was really in love with me or if he was obsessed with me but one thing I knew for sure was that Raymond could threaten me all he wanted but he would never hurt me, he had never and I knew it would never happen in the near future.

I decided to myself that it would be best if he didn't know because I still believed that alpha could still do something about this situation and save us and the pack from the hands of Raymond.

Escaping my train of thoughts and decisions, I realized that Raymond was still staring at me with a tense body and shock all over his face. I looked back at him equally, wondering what he was going to do with this new discovery and that was when he looked away while clearing his throat. I bet he was still having a hard time to accept the fact that we were bound by the moon goddess. If only he knew he wasnt the only one.

I looked back at alpha where he knelt far from me and i mind linked with him to ask if he was okay. His back suddenly straightened on hearing my voice in his mind and he looked back at me for a while before he gave me a small smile and told me he was okay through the mind link too and i felt relieved to know that.

I always idolized the alpha. I admired his personality, his charisma and how he always led the pack perfectly by always knowing the right thing to do but after discovering we were mates hours ago, I didn't know what to make of this new feeling that was coursing through me.

One thing I knew for sure was that I was confused. I didn't know if I always just admired him or if it was more than that even though I had a boyfriend and now, knowing that I had two mates, it was even more confusing and I felt like I was at the brink of losing my mind.

One thing I knew was that for alpha’s sake, I had to maintain my composure because Raymond was at an advantage here, it was alpha that needed protection from him.

“I still can't believe you would do this to me. I was always so nice to you, all these years and you were plotting against me?'' Alpha said to him and Raymond chuckled before he walked up to him and he hit him with the butt of his gun on the face. I watched in horror and helplessness as Alpha fell to the ground with a groan as Raymond hit him and I wished I could do something to stop him.

Raymond‘s eyes sparkled with glee as he watched Alpha writhe in pain and I couldn't believe he was the man that I actually fell in love with and dated thinking he would always be the same kind and sweet Raymond.

“Do you think I really gave a shit about your kindness? I didn’t ask for it alpha, I didnt ask for your stupid kindness so you shouldn't expect me to be the way you expected me to be” he yelled angrily at alpha while I watched from where I was.

I tried to sit up even though my hands were tied but one of Raymond's men quickly came over and he pushed me back to the floor, making me grunt in pain from the hard impact I made with the ground and Raymond who was already losing it while glaring at alpha stormed toward his man and he slapped him hard across the face before he held him tight by the collar while fuming.

“Don't you dare touch her again. Understood?” he ordered and the man struggled to nod as he choked from his tight hold. I just watched in awe and speechlessness at the fact that Raymond still wanted to protect me even though I had betrayed him twice and that was when Alpha's voice came to my mind through our mind link.

“Lover boy uh? If only he knew that you're my mate now” he mocked and my heart sank as my eyes met with alpha’s.

If only he knew that Raymond was also my mate, I was sure he wouldn't make that statement about mocking Raymond for protecting me from getting hit again.

I sighed as I sat up this time with my hands still tied and I just placed them on my legs. Raymond loved me but I was sure as hell that he didn't trust me enough to leave me untied because I wouldn't think twice before I ran away for my life.

My eyes were still on alpha and he was watching me too and I wished I could undo everything that had happened in the past twenty four hours because it had been too messy and too much for me to take in.

I sighed again before I linked my mind with alpha’s again and I decided to drop the bomb because I belived it would be best if he knew since it was the two of us that were in this situation and we needed to trust each other.

“No alpha, Raymond is also my mate,” I said to him through our mind link and I watched as his eyes slowly went wide with shock.
