Chapter 5 He Married You Because of my Permission

Chapter 5 He Married You Because of my Permission

Emond's hand paused noticeably, "Christina, you're pouting?"

His wolf was stirring.

"I'm not. It's really ticklish." Christina cocked her head, blinked, and continued in a pouty voice.

For so many years, she had been restrained in her fondness for Emond. Now that she was getting a divorce, she became bold instead.

Fuck off the restraint. She just wanted to make herself happier now.

Christina turned sideways with more abandon, trying to bare her right shoulder, but the action ended before it began.

Emond yanked up her collar with a grimace, "Sit still."

"No way."

She felt her eyes go black. emond pulled his suit over her head and leaned close to her ear, "Be a good girl and put your clothes back on."

"Oh." Christina agreed vaguely. Her head came out of the suit jacket, hugged his jacket, and sat down nicely.

Emond wasn't satisfied with her answer, "You're not allowed to talk to people in that tone of voice in the future."

"Especially men."

He was expecting an affirmative answer from Christina, but was suddenly chagrined. What was he doing? They were about to get divorced, so who was he to control her and restrict her from talking to other men? He had no right to interfere at all.

Christina didn't know how to answer him either, so she turned her head to look out the car window and asked suspiciously, "Aren't we going home?"

"No, we're not going home. We're going to the mall. Did you forget to prepare something for me?"

As soon as he reminded her, Christina immediately remembered that she hadn't given her wedding anniversary gift yet.

Once inside the mall, Emond took her straight to the clothing counter, grabbed a random jacket and dragged her into the dressing room.

The moment he closed the door, Emond pushed her against the wall, his palm caressing her waist, exhaling hot air straight into her neck, causing her whole body to burn up.

Christina didn't know what Emond was up to and could only squirm unnaturally, not daring to look him in the eye, "Emond, let go of me."

Emond's body pressed against hers, lowering his voice, "Did you remember what I just said?"

Christina was afraid that someone outside would find them and wanted to break free, and was puzzled that Emond was so insistent on an answer.

Emond showed great displeasure at her current attitude, tugged his tie in annoyance, and clutched her wrist, holding her firmly in place, "Answer me."

The next second, he directly held her whole body in his arms.

Christina subconsciously pushed back against his chest when she realized that the current position was too ambiguous. But before she could take a step, she was hugged tighter by Emond. The two were moving so violently that a loud sound came out.

Christina was so afraid of being misunderstood that she had to say, "I remember."

"Hmm." Satisfied, Emond led Christina out.

As soon as she came out, she heard a gentle female voice shouting in surprise, "Emond!"

Christina recognized her at once, it was Fanny.

She subconsciously ducked behind Emond, not knowing how to face it.

Fanny's eyes fell on Christina's body and raised her eyebrows slightly, "Am I interrupting you guys?"

"No." Emond replied calmly.

He walked over to her and naturally took the shopping bag she was carrying, then Fanny took his arm affectionately, they were more like mates.

"Hi, haven't been introduced yet, I'm Fanny, Emond's friend. So you're Christina." Fanny made a surprised look and then graciously walked up to her, "Miss Christina, thank you so much for taking care of Emond for me"

"Ew! ...Ew!"

Fanny's words were interrupted by a dry heave.

"I didn't mean to, go on." Christina covered her mouth. Fanny's body had a faint stench that made her retch a little.

Fanny's eyes flashed a hint of harshness, but turned her head and smiled to Emond and said pouted, "Emond, Christina won't misunderstand us, right?"

"No, she knows who you are."

"Then I'm relieved," Fanny punched Emond's arm poutingly, "Emond, I'm thirsty, why don't you go get me a coffee."

After Emond left, only the two of them were left.

Fanny sneered, "Christina, are you satisfied after stealing two years of my marriage? But what is stolen always has to be returned."

Christina took a step back, instinctively protecting herself.

Fanny had no intention of letting her go, but instead pressed closer with more abandon, "If Emond knew that you used such a despicable means to marry him, would she disgust you even more?"

Christina's pupils tightened and her heart sank, "What do you mean by that?"

"Are you playing dumb? Without Grandma's coercion, how would Emond marry you?"

Christina clenched her fist, her emotions exploded instantly, "Shut up!"

She didn't believe Fanny's words. When her grandmother found her at the beginning, she told her personally that Emond wanted to marry her.

And she also told her the amazing secret that she was the only one who could soothe Emond who was under the curse.

Grandma was sure that she was supposed to be his mate, but now she has someone telling her that it's all a lie.

She was a little shaken. If what Fanny said was true, it would prove that everyone was lying to her.

"Now he didn't hesitate to file for divorce from you, don't you understand? You are no longer useful. Now he needs me more." Fanny's words pierced through her defenses like spikes.

She felt the air being sucked out of her. She stood with cold hands and feet in place.

Fanny sneered, "Christina, did you have a nice wedding night?"

Christina jerked her head up. Wedding night, of course she remembered. The wedding had only just ended when Emond was called away by a phone call and then stayed up all night.

It turned out that on their wedding night, Emond had stayed with another woman.

How ironic.

Christina sneered: "But, Fanny, even without me, can you be his wife? All those things you did, just because I didn't say anything doesn't mean I don't know."

"What are you talking nonsense? Don't accuse me falsely!" Hearing these words, Fanny suddenly got very excited and went up to grab her clothes.

Christina dodged to the side and distanced herself from her, Fanny lost her focus and fell to the ground, Christina reached for her first, but it was too late ......

"Fanny!"

A familiar voice came from behind her.

Before Christina could react, she was pushed away by Emond and crashed defenselessly into the counter next to her. She felt a gush of pain, unable to tell if it came from her lower back or the small of her back.

"Emond, that hurts!"

Fanny leaned into Emond's arms with tear marks at the corners of her eyes, as if she had suffered great aggravation.

Emond jerked his head up and looked at Christina fiercely, making her swallow back the words that came to her mouth in defense, and she decided not to say anything.

As she watched Emond stride away with Fanny in his arms, her heart ached and her body hurt, unable to tell which hurt more.

She understood who that person in his heart really was.

It was not until they were far away that she slowed down, suddenly feeling a huge pain coming from the small of her back and her whole body curling up helplessly.

She suddenly realized what was going on and scrambled to protect her small belly, "Baby ......"

Her small abdomen was getting more and more painful, and her consciousness was getting blurred, and she couldn't help the tears gushing out.

"Baby, I'm sorry, don't blame mommy ......"
