Chapter 7 I Agree

Chapter 7 I Agree

Christina knew what she was doing was stupid, but she still wanted to take the gamble.

All that could be heard in the room was the pounding of her heart.

Once again, the silence was broken by the ringing of a cell phone.

Christina held him tight and refused to let go. She tried to struggle again.

"Don't be like that, Christina."

Emond turned his back on her, pulling her fingers apart and crushing her dignity at the same time.

"Have a good rest and I'll be back soon."

With that, Emond walked away without looking back.

Christina didn't know she had lost until she heard the door close.

She was like a doll, being cast aside when she was not needed.

Instead of crying, she tried to breathe out the breath that was being held against her chest, forcing herself to calm down.

Now she's not alone. She's got a baby.

...

The hospital ward.

The nurse came out of the ward and said the patient was awake.

In the ward, Fanny lay in bed with a flushed face.

Through her tears, she said, "Emond, there you are. I...... I feel so bad. Can I still be able to marry you?"

Emond pulled out her clenched hand. "Don't think too over."

Fanny leaned her head back into his arms as she heard his comfort.

Emond frowned and instinctively pushed her away.

But there was a voice in his soul that seduced him to hold her, to have her.

Sensing his stiffly backward motion, Fanny ran straight into his arms. Her body writhed in his arms, and her hands tugged restlessly at his leash.

"Emond, hold me tight..."

Emond stepped back, his handsome face trying to suppress the attraction. "Don’t. You're not feeling well."

His wolf was going out of control, with a strong desire to possess the person in front of him.

Fanny let go of her hand and nibbled her lip, her face still stained with tears. "Emond, you know, I want you."

She sobbed. “Do you hate me? Do you still hate me for that?"

"No." Emond frowned. "I'm not divorced now."

Fanny dropped her head and her fierce eyes disappeared.

She looked up with another pitying expression. "So when are you getting divorced? I felt like I was going to be tortured to death."

Then she buried her face and sobbed bitterly.

"As soon as I can." Emond put one hand in his pocket and promised her.

Upon hearing his promise, Fanny smiled and asked, "Can you keep me company tonight?"

"Okay."

Fanny shifted her body with satisfaction and looked up at Emond's back.

He did not look back. He stood at the door. "Have a good rest and I will go outside."

"Hey..." Emond had closed the door before she could finish.

She sat up in bed and pulled the needle out of her arm, ready to drop the contents of the table on the floor.

After a moment's hesitation, she smashed the pillow against the wall.

There was a small noise coming from the room.

"How are you, Fanny? Shall I call a doctor for you?" Emond asked through the door.

"I’m good," she said. Fanny's face was angry and she answered him gently.

She gritted her teeth in anger.

Has Emond changed his mind?

Or did he feel something?

Why would Emond not touch her when she was using a synthetic potion?

The synthetic potion was created when she knew Emond was unable to sense his mate.

It brings out the primal desires in the werewolf, and that's how she made him think she was his mate.

Why didn't Emond respond when she had given him the potion beforehand?

She panicked a little. She was worried that Emond would find out what she was up to, but now she was even more alarmed that the potion was writhing inside her.

The potion will give off an odor. This hidden smell in the air is not just specific to Emond. Any adult werewolf will be attracted by the smell.

Trying to have sex with her.

Emond is now outside the door.

She had to force the door open a crack, exposing a pair of eyes, carefully look out.

Her heart jumped at the sound of footsteps breaking in the corridor.

The male's breath made her hot.

She took a breath and whispered to Emond, who was leaning against the window, "Emond, I feel better. Go back to sleep."

Emond put out the cigarette and looked back into her eyes, burning with pent-up desire.

He paused, and exhaled heavily.

He left.

Having made sure he was gone, Fanny's door opened again and a dark figure rushed in.

Early the next morning.

Christina woke up and was surprised to find Emond sleeping on the couch in her room with his hair messy. "What time did you get in yesterday?"

And to her surprise, he spent the night here watching her?

Emond, what the hell is wrong with you?

Why did he come back and spend the night with her when he had already left? If he had been decisive, she would have left quickly.

"I came back last night to pick up the office files and clear up the backlog from the day, and it was almost daylight by the time I finished." Emond said.

So that's it. Christina knew she was thinking too much again.

Emond took a document from the desktop and pushed it toward her with a long finger.

"I have revised this document as you requested. Would you like to examine it and see if there is anything unsatisfying about it?"

Christina looked up. "Divorce Settlement."

She smiled. This was the important document he had come back for.

She took the paper and looked it over quickly with her head down.

Emond is generous. He gave her two mansions, two fancy cars, and a check for $30 million.

And he did spend a lot of money to get a quick divorce.

Ha ha...

In his mind, the woman who had been his wife of two years was a woman who had sold her body for money.

Christina pulled herself together with a far-fetched smile. "I'm not signing this paper."

For some reason, Emond, who had been a bit agitated, suddenly calmed down.

He adjusted to a more relaxed position and tapped his fingers on the table. "What do you want?"

"What if I want more? You just want to get rid of me for $30 million? You'll agree to whatever I want for the divorce, right? Fanny can't wait, after all." Christina smiled wryly.

Emond looks up. "More? How many? Fifty million? Or a hundred million?"

Christina nibbled the tip of her tongue between her teeth. The pain was the only thing keeping her awake. She reached out and tore up the contract in front of her.

For Fanny's sake he would not hesitate to give her a hundred million.

She burst out laughing. "In your mind, you can put a price on our marriage. In that case, draw up a new contract as I request."

"You want a divorce, I agree, but I don't want any compensation from you."

Her marriage, it's not a transaction.

She can support herself and make herself a living. She really loved him, not for his money.

For some reason, Emond felt frightened inside.

"Are you sure?"

He said slowly through gritted teeth.

Christina said gently, "Right now. Should we go get the divorce?"
