I didn't expect those words to come out of her mouth. She was sitting on the edge of her bed, her hands trembling, eyes red from tears. Her lips moved slowly, almost as if she was scared of the words that were about to come. I stood there, not doubt shocked by what I'd just heard, as I watched her.
