The rest of the evening was spent planning. Mia wouldn't stop pacing like a caged beast in the room as she walked back and forth, carrying books and files. She kept muttering to herself, flipping through the pages faster than I could follow. But it wasn't her doing. Ace kept her busy ever since, and that was only because they both wanted to make sure every stone was turned today.
"Find something," he said, looking into one of the books she'd brought him before now. "I want to see cases like this. Anything that can relate to it would do."
She gave him another nod, this time without looking...
