Just then, I spotted a movement inside. Then all kinds of scents invaded my nostrils. I realised with a start that we had other people in here and they must have seen me because they were all running into hiding. Vienna, however, couldn't run because she was on the ground, pinned by the neck. Without thinking, I pushed into the room, expecting the first strike that came to me.
