"Escaped?" Ace could believe his ears. He knew something was going on here, something very wrong and he wasn't going to stop until he found out exactly what these men had done. 

The guard outside had been so calm, like he had no idea what had happened and here they were, telling him that the guard had Escaped. None of them looked like they had struggled, like they fought against letting the man escape just as they claimed. He was still deep in his thoughts when another guard stepped forward, looking anywhere rather than at Ace. 

"Beta, we- we don't know how it happened."
