"We need to go to Kendrick with this news." I said, not knowing how she would feel about it. 

She whirled around to look at me, already wearing a disapproving look on her face, one that I knew too well. 

"But we can't do that right now. He is still in the hospital and he can't talk to anyone. He's barely awake because of his recent ordeals. And that's where the problem is, we can't wait until he's full fit to attend to our worries before taking action. Right now, we cannot risk disturbing him no matter what." 

She had a good point, but the hopelessness got to me....
