Oriana:

“Get ready so we can go to the bonfire.” Tiana told us as she was fixing her hair. “We must stay together at all times. No wondering off, please. I can’t afford to lose you, ladies.”

Everyone of us got ready for the event in the woods. I grabbed my beautiful brown mini bodycon dress with a cross halter top. I removed the towel from my body, threw on some smelling good lotion, then slipped into my dress. After that, I put on some dangling gold earrings and my brown high heel boots that I bought from the mall when I was out with Tiana and the other girls.

“What are you going to be doing with your hair?” Tiana asked me.

“I wanted to put some stuff in it and wear it naturally.” I told her.

“Remember ladies, we have male rabbits looking at us tonight.” Tiana announced. “We want to look our absolute best. Maybe you could even pull one for yourself if we’re that lucky.”

Everybody laughed. I was hoping to pull one. I never had a boyfriend before, but I really wanted one. Tiana turned to me and smiled.

“Let’s put that messy bun in your hair.” She told me.

We made it to the bonfire where everybody was hanging out. People were having a good time, laughing and chatting. When we got there, everybody’s eyes were on us. It made me nervous. My eyes turned to one side and those familiar eyes from before was staring back at me.

“Don’t pay attention to him.” Tiana whispered. “He’s bad news.”

I turned my attention to the front where me and the others took our seat on the log beside the big tree. The bonfire was nice and warm, heating up everybody around it. It was a good thing I didn’t bring my jacket.

“Hi.” Someone behind me said.

I turned around and smiled when I saw a male rabbit shifter behind me.

“Hi.” I replied. “How are you?”

He smiled as he took a seat beside me.

“I’m good. Can I get your name?”

I nodded my head.

“Oriana Daniels.”

The unfamiliar face extended his hand out to me and I took it.

“I’m Jesse.”

“Nice to meet you.”

“Would you like a drink or something to eat?”

I smiled and nodded.

“Water please?”

“Of course.”

He got off the log and walked off. I looked around until I met the eyes of the wolf again. It seemed that he wasn’t happy about something, but why? I rolled my eyes before I got up and walked over to the tree.

“Here you go.” Jesse handed me a water bottle.

“Thank you.” I told him.

I opened the water bottle and took a sip before I turned back to him.

“So, do you like the bonfire?” He asked.

“Yes, I do. It’s nice and warm. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Everybody isn’t attacking anybody and I like that.”

“Same. So, do you have a boyfriend?”

I smiled and shook my head.

“Never had one.” I told him.

“Well, I would like to get to know you more. I mean, if that’s okay with you.”

“It is.”

As Jesse and I spoke, I could just feel the wolf staring at me, burning a hole in the back of my head. I didn’t get what his problem was and he was making me nervous.

“Can we walk?” Jesse asked.

“Walk where?” I asked him.

“Around.”

I turned to Tiana. She nodded her head and I gave him a smile.

“Great, let’s go.” Jesse smiled as he grabbed my hand.

We walked past the wolves and I looked over at my stalker. He just looked at me, then he lowered his eyes to the ground.

“Damn dwarf bunnies.” A female beside him growled. “They always think they are the fucking best.”

“Yeah, being our food.” Another male said.

That comment scared me. I clutched Jesse’s arm and he chuckled.

“Ignore them.” He told me. “They can’t touch us around this area or the school.”

“I know.” I told him. “It just bothered me.”

We got to the parking lot and immediately, I felt nervous. He guided us to this car and then, he released my hand.

“I wanted to get away from everybody.” He told me.

I folded my arms over my chest and he chuckled.

“You’re so beautiful, Oriana.” Jesse told me.

Our eyes stayed on each other for quite awhile.

“Thank you.” I told him.

He moved closer to me and I backed away.

“I’m sorry.” He told me.

“It’s okay.”

I pushed my hair behind my ear and sighed.

“Can I kiss you?”

That question alone was caught off guard. Not only did he ask randomly, but it made me extremely nervous.

“I…” I stopped before I thought of what I was going to say. “I’m not sure.”

“Have you ever been kissed before?”

I looked in the other direction and shook my head. Jesse chuckled.

“Wait, really?” He asked me.

“Is that a problem?”

“No, it’s just that the rumors are true.”

“What rumors?”

“That you guys are pure as they come.”

Hm…

“I think we need to go back.” I told him.

“Why?”

“Because I need to be close to my group.”

“What, you don’t trust me?”

“I never said that.”

Jesse moved closer and I continued backing up.

“I just want to have fun with you out here.”

He grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him.

“Please, let me go.” I begged him.

“Why? Let me see what it’s like.”

“What?”

“To fuck a girl like you.”

I tried to snatch my arm from his grip, but he held it there.

“I won’t allow you to leave until you let me fuck.”

“No.”

“Now.”

I kicked Jesse in the groin and a loud groan came from him. Backing away from him, I turned to take my leave. As I went to take a step, Jesse grabbed my legs, forcing me to fall on the ground. I yelped as I hit my knee onto the concrete.

“You’re not going anywhere.” Jesse told me.

I tried my hardest to fight him off me, but he was a lot stronger than me. He got me onto my back, pinning my arms above my head.

“Now, let’s enjoy ourselves.” Jesse smiled.

He leaned down to kiss me and all of a sudden a loud growl was heard. Jesse lifted his head up and I watched with widened eyes as he was snatched off me. Jesse screamed as he was tossed against the farthest tree. I sat up and backed away.

“Are you okay?” The guy from before asked me.

When I tried to stand up, I hissed from the sudden pain I felt on my knee. The guy walked over to me, but I put my hand out.

“Don’t come near me.” I told him.

“I’m just going to help you back to the bonfire.”

“I can walk.”

I stood up and I began to limp back to the bonfire. The guy from before followed me.

“What?” I asked him. “Go to your pack.”

“I will once you’re safe.”

“Ha! Safe? Wow, you’re a fucking joke.”

I stopped as the pain became unbearable.

“Ouch!” I hissed.

“Let me carry you.”

He tried to touch me and I pushed him away.

“What the hell do you want from me?”

“I’m just trying to help.”

“I don’t want it. I shouldn’t even be talking to you.”

“If it wasn’t for me, he would’ve had you.”

“Like you care. You’re a fucking wolf, for God’s sake!”

He just stared at me. I sighed as I bent down to rub my knee. I felt a stingy sensation and when I pulled my hand up to my face, I could see a little bit of red on it.

“You’re bleeding.” He stated.

“Stay away from me.” I told him.

“Oriana?!” Tiana shouted my name.

She rushed to me and she glared at the wolf.

“What the hell did you do to her?!” She shouted at him.

“I did nothing.” He said, calmly.

“I told you to stay away from her! I’m reporting you as soon as we get back to the school!”

“Whatever! I told you I didn’t do anything!”

Tiana grabbed my hand and tried to lead me away from the wolf, but I groaned.

“My knee is hurting.” I explained to her.

“Did he hurt you?” Tiana asked, glaring at the wolf.

“No, not him.”

Tiana turned her eyes back to me.

“Who, then?”

“That other rabbit shifter I walked off with.”

“Wait, he did this?”

“Yes.”

Tiana sighed, but nodded her head.

“We’ll report him, okay? Let’s just get you fixed up. Your leg is bleeding.”

I put my arm around Tiana and she helped me back towards the bonfire, leaving the wolf behind.
