I sensed Shadow’s frustration as we enjoyed the rest of the rides. He barely spoke and it was beginning to upset me. I wanted to enjoy the night with him, but due to certain circumstances, we couldn’t hang out for too long. We already had people looking at us like an odd couple.

“What did you want to do?” Shadow asked me.

“Baby, it doesn’t matter.” I told him, trying to touch his arm.

He had moved as he tried to look around for something to do.
