Lily’s point of view

Aiden needed a break, and so did I.

Due to the weight of his shifting inclinations, Aiden had been restless and more angry than normal for the past few days. Even though he wasn't acting out, I could tell by the way his eyes blazed gold when his emotions became too intense and how he clinched his tiny fists when he was angry. I also knew I needed to figure out how to be able to make him adapt to and associate with people following the near-catastrophe at the playdate.

Not today, though.

All I wanted today was for my son to be a typical child....
