Lily's point of view
The morning sun streamed through my apartment's large windows, casting a golden glow on the walls that appeared to portend a calm day. Energized already, Aiden pulled at my hand.
"May we leave, Mummy? Could you please? You said you would. His green eyes glittered so much like Marcus's that every time I glanced at him, my chest hurt.
"I did make a promise, didn't I?" Grinning, I brushed a lock of his dark hair out of his face. "All right, let's do it all in one day. Where would you like to go?"
