The world spun around me, my body shaking with pain and tiredness, but my eyes never left the scene in front of me. Lucas stood, his body taut, facing out against the men who had abducted Aiden.

Lucas snarled in a low deadly tone, "You have made a mistake."

The huge men did not flinch. One of them snorted in delight. "We don't make mistakes. Leave now before you end up just like her.”

With a dangerous glitter in his eyes, Lucas tilted his head. "A whole lot of talk for a fellow who doesn't even know who he is messing with."
