The book she held in her hand fell on the floor. She left it. Her eyes were still focused on Romeo. The shock was too much. Was it her imagination?

She reached for his hand and took it in hers. She stroked it slowly as she stared at him.

"Did you just speak to me?" Her voice was merely a whisper as she spoke.

She was still reeling from the shock of the words she heard from him. Romeo nodded as she took her other hand to nuzzle his cheek.
