Sireen’s POV

“Did you hear what I said to you?” I barely hear the words, but I do hear the snap of fingers directly over my face. That brings me to earth.

“Huh?” Is my response, which sounds more like drooling than an actual word.

Trevor huffs, probably annoyed at his lack of attention, but he doesn’t say that. He simply repeats himself.

“Lily is awake, and she wants you there.”

See, that’s what I thought I heard, but I wasn’t so sure because I don’t know what part of Trevor’s words are true. That Lily is really alive and awake or that she has asked to see me. And...
