The appearance of Caradoc had transformed into that of a monstrous beast with its fangs exposed and its jaws ready to tear me to bits.

"Even if you didn't want children, you still shouldn't have said that. "

"What if you decided to take the risk even if I wasn't completely clear on what I wanted you to do? Feed you to the wild woves?" Caradoc murmured, his deep eyes steely.

I let out a long, deep sigh and turned my gaze away from him. My eyes reflected the actual terror that I felt. I had the unsettling feeling that I was about to fall into a chasm....
