But a tragic day came, the Coven caught up to them in Winterwood City's rural area in the woods Amanda and Devon were fighting a large group of Vampire from the Coven headed by their leader one of the High Chambers Member Matthew, Accadia was hidden in a secrete area inside the shack a small but in the woods found by Devon.

"Find her and bring the child to me, kill that bastard Devon and his MATE". Matthew snarled and ordered his subjects.

Two of Matthew's companions went inside the shack; they are also a member of the High Camber but have small status on the Coven, they were headed by Matthew who's put into MASTER status when Devon leaves the Coven.

Despite their status, they are powerful and possess special power of Extreme Strength and Elemental Manipulation. They tore the doors of the shack and entered the house.

Amanda saw this and immediately flew straight to the shack leaving one three words to Devon, " I'll protect her."

When Amanda came in she was welcomed with ice arrows mended by Belden the Elemental manipulator vampire, Amanda was hit and fell, she was hit at her arms and the side of her waist, strong-willed she got up and continued pursuing the two vampires.

She caught them in time before they reach Accadia's hiding place all the Doors and walls are shattered into pieces by Halberg the Vampire gifted with Extreme Strength she holds Halberg's arms and slams the Vampire on the other wall, Halberg stood up like it was nothing she grabs Amanda's leg and Slingshot her outside the shack.

Amanda called Devon "Devon save Accadia", Devon acted swiftly, he saw Amanda wounded and lying outside the shack covered with wall debris. He then turns his eyes to the place where he places Accadia.

Devon was a great vampire inventor he placed a trap near Accadias crib, as the three vampires came near the crib they triggered the trap for a wall of Thick steel bar formed as a cage and trapped Belden and Halberg, the two struggled to free themselves from the cage.

Immediately Devon use his power which is time manipulation, time freezed he flew swiftly to Amanda's place and then went to Accadia's Crib, he carried both of them in his hands and quickly leave the place, fortunately all of the Vampire brought by Matthew is in the same area covered by Devon's time freeze range, Giving them the opportunity to escape.

Sadly, using his special power at his current conditions takes a toll on his strength and life force, Devon safely arrives at one of their safe houses near Metropolis City.

Wounded and tired, hesitantly he called Bernards telepathically, Bernard in shock to have heard this Voice again,"Old friend, help us, remember what I told you on the letter about Accadia, it is time, I'm nearing my wits end here old friend and Amanda.... she is wounded."

Bernards was confused, "How did this happen in your letter a week ago to just tell me that they will not track you? How? Why?.... But... but... Before that, go to the abandoned building near the Church in Metropolis where we have a sealed basement. You will be safe there for the meantime. I will see you there.

In the present time...

Matthew and the others were freed from the time freeze after a couple of days. He was very angry that he killed two of his subjects due to my competence, Halberg and Belden both kneeled and asked for forgiveness in front of Matthew.

"Stand up incompetent fools, fail me again and you will have your life to pay for." With a harsh voice Matthew berates both of them.

"What is your order Master?" Halberg asked.

"I know where they are going. It's a 4 days journey for us from here, but we are not in a hurry. They no longer have other places to go soon, I will have their child and that brats head, I will serve it to the High Chamber so I can finally rule the Coven.

Devon's loyal subjects will no longer hesitate to follow me and we will rule the entire world, humans will beg for mercy once I'm in control of the Coven and the Child of prophecy." He declared as he laughed diabolically.

"If we go to Metropolis, gather the men", Belden and Halberg lead the remaining vampire as they march to Metropolis.

At the abandoned building, Devon and Bernard are talking, while Amanda prepares Accadia. Accadia was place In a sealed but well ventilated container enough to conceal her scent.

Accadia's worn clothes were taken by Amanda and placed in the carrying basket, they will lure the enemy while Bernard and Accadia escape.

"It's about time Amanda... They are already here, we've already recovered but we are still very weak, I can't use time freeze again.." Devon informed her Mate.

Amanda and Devon kissed and touched Accadia's face for the last time. They knew this will be the last time they will see her.

"Take care my daughter mommy loves you so much, grow up and live a normal life uncle Bernard will be there to Guide you along the way I know he will love you." Her tears can't stop falling, she now realized that this is where they will part ways and to never see each other again in this lifetime.

"Be strong my beloved daughter, I'm sorry for all of this, let your heart guide you on your Journey leave well my child! Father, old friend, Bernard take good care of her, off you go now they will be here soon." Devon closed the container and bid farewell to Bernard.

"Farewell brother, take care of my sister, if miracles happen see me again you'll know where to find me. Amanda my sister, why do we have to part ways like this, be careful Sister, be at ease I will take good care of my niece, I will love her as if she were own." Bernard tightly hugged Amanda with tears flowing on both of their eyes.

They are at this scene when the abandoned building door was crashed and shattered into pieces, Matthew shouts.

"Come out Devon you have no place to run now, I have covered the entire building and all escape routes, hand over your child and I promise to end both of your lives quickly with no pain."

"Quickly hide now Father Bernard, you know this place better than we are," Devon told Bernard as he readied himself for a fight.

"Open that door, you'll find the serum and weapons, protect yourself, and be careful." Bernard directs them while he unlocks the nearly invisible trapped door and enters it. It was a sealed small room, barely for two people, once closed I could never be opened outside a safe place to hide and pass time.

After a while, both Devon and Amanda were rejuvenated thanks to the serum. The basement door opens and Matthew comes out with Belden and Halberg and 10 more vampires, surrounding Belden was a fire and ice shaped spear, while Matthew was a summoner and summoned a large devil bear and a devilish wolf, a creature of the night.

Devon wore a Metal Knight Armour, while Amanda wore an Enchanted mage robe. And the last battle began.....
