"Go on your way Human, I feel generous tonight and let you live if you just turn and run away. Do as I say or you will not be able to see the light of the sun ever." Devon strongly threatened the man.
But he stands firm and puts on a fighting stance.
"I will not leave without my sister, what did you do to her, Isn't enough for you to infect her with your virus and you really or back to finish the Job huh, I swear if you put a hand on my sister I will stick this spear in your heart, I know a lot about you VAMPIRES" strongly willed stance of the man.
Hearing this, Devon readied himself and was about to attack the man, but Amanda forbade him and held his wrist tightly that almost broke Devon's wrist. "Stop, don't attack my brother, he was just here to bring me my sustenance."
Realizing that she held Devon's hand so tight he let it go but she saw bruises right where she held him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." She quickly apologized.
"It's alright, after all, he is your brother, and if you don't stop he's dead now." Devon arrogantly told her.
"Or you are..." She replied pointing her finger on the spear near Devon's chest right where Devon's heart is located.
Devon turns his eyes towards the confused man. "How do you know where our heart is, we are different from you Humans, our heart is located opposite the location where your heart is."
"We are no ordinary human Devon, we are the descendants of VanHelsing, and we possess knowledge and strength to kill a Vampire or any creature of the night." Amanda was confused.
"The Night I was attacked, was the night we were hunting your kind, that was brutally killing people of this city in front of many onlookers, but you are different, from what you have told me you have a kind and very profound idea of balance, you see we believe that vampires are also like us Humans that need to live and to live you need to consume." Amanda enumerated.
The man stared at Amanda confused.
"Amanda I know it's been hard for you this fast few weeks, but do you have to be casually kind to them, I mean his kind killed a citizen of this City, we are here to help this City get rid of them." he angrily said.
"Know our duty Bernard, but he is different, and besides you were late I'm starving and on the brink of getting to get my sustenance, if it wasn't for him I would have not to know how to suppress the hunger" she argued
"How is he different? he was the one the whole city was looking tonight he was caught in the act while attacking one of the Rounders, luckily he knows how to defend himself and was able to inflict wound on him." Bernard narrates and point his finger on the right thigh of Devon whose completely healed but the trace of Blood and a hole on the Devon's pants gave him away.
"He was framed by his Coven, they convince him that the man was a bum and a street dweller who usually nabbed other people property, they know it's perfect prey for him so the coven set it all up they know that the whole city is at a hunt for a vampire on that night.
They want him dead because of his method, most of the members of the High Chamber of the Coven do not approve of his method for the hunt..." Amanda shared with her brother the information Devon shared with her a while ago.
Bernard was astonished by what Amanda shared with him, however, he calmed himself and took the basket that contains the serum that he formulates to cure Amanda from what he believes is the vampire virus.
"Take this and rest this will suppress the vampire blood on your system," Bernard explained.
Amanda took the cylinder with serum and drank it, she felt warm inside as if she was burning from inside, it was worse than the hunger she felt but she endured the pain, after a while with the worried look on Bernard and Devon they worriedly asked Amanda.
"How are you feeling now Amanda?" Bernard inquiries.
"Did the Hunger stop?" Devin excitedly asked if this could be a life-changing serum for all of his subjects in the Coven.
Amanda shows a happy expression as she felt the two sharp fangs withdraw from her mouth and her hunger subsided little by little, "I think it works brother you're great, do you have a bread there I will try to eat a normal meal hand me a bread and cheese please!" She hurriedly requested.
Devon can't keep his smile hidden. He was so happy that he forgot that it was already dawn. Bernard on the other side happily serves her beloved sister with cheese and bread.
When Amanda was about to bite on the bread, she then again felt that burning feeling, so hot that she can't endure it anymore she screamed in pain, Devon lost his smile and hurriedly covered Amanda's mouth to refrain her from attracting attention from nearby areas.
Bernard's mouth stays open in shock, he thought he already solved the problem, it's another failure, she watches the fangs regrow again from his sister's mouth, and this time she is paler that matches the skin tone of Devon.
Amanda calmed down and as strong as she was, she stood up with a poker face and said, "Brother this is not a failure but progress for the serum, it may not cure me of the Virus but it alleviates the hunger, however brother it is not safe for you...
For us to be seen together now that I am a vampire, a blood-sucking creature, I decided to go with Devon. He can protect me. I trust him, and also we can still communicate with you from time to time to get an update on the serum.
And so Devon and Amanda's journey has begun, they left and began a Vampire hunting job together; Bernard provides them with tools and serum.
Then eventually Amanda and Devon fall in love with each other, an affair that Bernard did not approve of because of this event, and only because she loves Amanda he gave the two an ample amount of serum and never went away to leave his life in the Convent.
After sometime Amanda bore a child, a beautiful one it was Accadia, a one and only born child of a Vampire, at first they were happy until the coven found out about this baby, Devon was worried about this.
Amanda asked Devon, "Why are you so worried we can protect her if you're powerful enough the coven can't hurt her, when she reaches the right age she will also manifest your power....and.... and..." Amanda stuttered, "and the hunger." Devon continues.
"We have the serum; we can teach her and have her familiarized with the serum's effects." Amanda convincingly said to Devon.
"It's not Amanda... It's... It's... Ahhhhhhh... Why didn't I think of it before I was so careless and so occupied... I should have known this would happen... So dumb of me." Devon was at a loss.
"Amanda, listen in the Coven there is a prophecy, a prophecy that could end tragically for both vampire and Human alike. It is said that there will be a powerful vampire that will arise and bring destruction and death for both Vampire and the Human world and this vampire is a born Vampire pure blood whose lineage is from the High Chamber of Vampire.
Do you understand now Amanda, Accadia is in grave danger, because of this they will hunt her, they will use her to slaughter humans for their sustenance she's doomed to serve the High Chamber that was the Coven plan from the beginning and I gave them that...
What dumb vampire I became gave Accadia a chance to live but more suffering will come to her what did I do?"
Devon's tears fall all those times while telling Amanda about the prophecy.
Amanda put down Accadia on her Crib as she was already asleep, she glances at Amanda and went to Devon's side, she knelt and placed her hand on Devon's cheek and said, "Honey you’re not dumb... Accadia was the fruit of our love. Surely you can't believe that she can do all of the things the prophecy foretold, we will raise her and teach her good things and we will achieve our normal life.
You yourself say that she will be doomed if she will fall on the Covenants, and that's the only thing that we will not allow to happen are we?" With confidence in her heart, Devon calmed down and agreed.
And that's what they did, they protected Accadia, for a week they stop hunting the rampant and violent vampires and focus their attention on protecting Accadia, but the Coven never stops attempting to find her, in a month's time they transfer from city to city so that the coven will not find them.
