Emilia sighed leaning into the table to show how serious this was.
"What I mean is that you never have spoken about any interest in the opposite sex, are you sure you're gay?" her mother asked and Bella almost choked on her own spit glaring at her mother's deduction.
"First of all, that is offensive, and secondly, just because I don't show any interest in the male species doesn't mean I'm not straight. I have a lot of sexual interaction with them just so you know but it...."
"I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR SEXUAL INTERACTION!" her mother whispered- yelled. Emilia was happy she booked the entire restaurant for the next hour.
"Well you are talking about it right now so I just had to let my mother know that I am very much active." She replied smugly.
"You are never serious with any of them El, it's all a one-time thing." Her mother said. "Don't you think it's about time to consciously find someone?"
"Jesus ma, this is totally not the time. You know how much growing and expanding my company means to me and you know I want nothing else than that." She said sternly to her mother who just sighed.
"That is not everything Bella," Emilia said and Bella knew that once her mother calls her Bella she was getting serious.
"What more could I want from a man mother, I am wealthy, I am powerful, I am intimidating, I can get whatever the hell I want without blinking twice." She said but her mother was not quite pleased.
"It's nice to have a man as a companionship, not as a source to physical material things. One who would be there in groundbreaking moments, to adore you, celebrate your wins, to remind you how much you mean the world to him, to keep you out of loneliness and depression...." She sighed. "I hear you El, I hear how you cry yourself to sleep when you come to the house. I see it in your eyes that even though you are all that you are, you are alone..."
"I have you and it's not true..." she said lowly turning her gaze to her laps. "I don't cry myself to sleep."
"I know what I heard." Her mother pressed.
"It was just one fucking time and it was because of something stupid that happened, it was nothing." She fired back. "Besides that's not enough reason for me to get a man. I can deal with my shit myself."
"Language MISSY! Start from somewhere, the quarterly party where the new prime minister of belvet is elected. You are not coming alone."
"Bu..."
"You know how it is EL, don't make it sound like I'm punishing you. Your father would be there and he shares the same desire that I do."
"You mean to push your only child into something she is not ready for? Right" she said sarcastically
"I don't care whatever you are thinking in that head of yours but all I can say is that find a date and someone who would not only be a one-night stand, someone who you would start a future with." Her mother said and from the stonish look Bella had on, Emilia knew that this was dangerous.
"Fine, it's a stupid boy you want it's a stupid boy you would get." She said pushing her seat backward as she rose to her feet.
"You're leaving?" Emilia asked staring up at her daughter.
"Yes, mother I am. It seems as if my stomach is churning just from this conversation we had, any more and I would puke my guts out on this table." She answered coldly.
"Think about it, I know you may be upset about the entire thing bu...."
"Upset! Upset doesn't cut it mum but this you doing what you think is best for me," she replied bitterly, Emilia sighed and rubbed her forehead gently.
"See you soon El." Her mother said gazing off behind her as she walked away.
The sudden loud sound that came from the front of the building set her eyes in a vibrating mess as she lost her balance and falls down to the ground, the metal pieces of her car now charred in flames as they fall in bits to the ground. Staring in horror, she watched the hot consuming flame eat at the car she was supposed to enter in less than thirty seconds. Someone wanted her dead, and not in a very nice way.
