Chapter 5 the Luna

Chapter 5 the Luna

The cheering of the crowd was the light of the entire competition. Men howling at the brute combat happening between the two hefty-looking men in the ring.

"GET HIM!"

"SEE AN OPENING!"

"HIS FACE IS UNPROTECTED!"

"Give him another strike!"

"YES!!"

These were the chorus from the men watching from behind the bleachers. Mike who was in the ring, with his hands expertly blocking his face from any more hit blocked out all the noise coming from then. He was the last on the list to go up against his opponent, RED, as they called him. Red had managed to hit mike twice to the ribs but other than that, mike had given him more injuries making his pale white body red just like his name.

Mike didn't want this match to be longer than it already was, he has noticed a set of people, two exactly dressed in suits with black glasses covering their eyes watching him.

They were also another pair at the far edge of the entrance, nobody he knew. He dodged Red's attack as he skillfully moved to the other side of the ring.

"You've gotten way better at throwing heavy punches red." mike said smiling at the bulk man opposite him who was one punch away from losing his stamina and falling flat to the ground. But red found strength in his supporter's shouts and so he pushed further.

"Don't you think it's about time we end this, I might have some visitors waiting for me," Mike said before Red could process his statement. He had moved so quickly that the next thing red saw was the knuckles of mike covered in dry patches of his blood coming in contact with his face in a Strong punch.

The arena goes 'ooo' at the sound and red falling heavily to the ground. The next thing that erupted where loud jeering and cheering from the ground as mike walked out of the ring with his friend justice waiting for him.

"Another match down. Even after eight months, you still got it." Justin said tapping Mike's back gently.

"I wasn't just eating my ass away justice, I own a gym of course I have to train," he said as they walked inside the dressing room where he wiped off the sweat on his neck.

"Did you see the guys out there?" Justin inquired while leaning on the lockers while mike entered the showers.

"Yes, I did. What do you think? Diablo's men? some elite who needs protection? what's your take?" Mike asked as the water ran through his body.

"Definitely not diablo men, 'cause they're new faces I've never seen before. They look way more professional and suit up, probably the latter. Another elite who needs protection from who knows what." Justin said

"To think that they would give up after what happened last time." mike said rubbing himself dry. He changed into a new pair of clothing with his phone in his hands and Justin by his side.

They had just stepped out of the room when the man in a perfectly tailored suit stands a couple of meters away, his sinister eyes on both men.

"Definitely a fvcking elite," Justin said under his breath, but mike caught it. It looked like the stranger also caught it too seeing that his smile widened. He stared at the man he was sent to get, even when he stood tall, he could see the reasonable amount of inches mike had on him.

The man took his chance, not allowing mike or Justin well-built bodies to intimidate him. He walked three steps further until he was certain that he could convey his message clearly.

"You must be Mike Fisher." he began and mike walked away with Justin following, paying the strange man no attention whatsoever.

"Of all the things I heard, the great black isn't one who walks away with no reason." the man said making mike halt in his tracks. Mike hadn't been called that in the past eight months while he was out of service.

And now, the stranger knew about his title which to mike wasn't a surprise in anyways. So he kept walking, the sound of the echoing crowd drowning in fast-paced footsteps.

"You did great out there today Mike." the man called out louder.

"Mr. mike appreciates your compliments but I'm afraid he's unavailable right now," Justin said in the most politest voice while walking with mike upfront.

"Your talent should not be wasted knocking up some amateur dudes who are delusional to think they actually can beat you." The man said again matching up their pace. " I have a proposal for you mike." The man stopped walking as he announced.

"A job of over one hundred million dollars mike." the man said smiling triumphantly as he watched mike slow down and slowly turned around. " I'm sure you would not let something that many slides," he added.

Mike glared at the man whose smile was replaced with a tight line and a face contoured into all seriousness.

"I am not available to do any job what's so even if that is all you're free to get out," Mike said.

"Are you sure about that? It seems like you may need the money to sustain this gym, could use a couple of bars to fix this place and get a better place for yourself and your brother," he said.

"Get the fuck out." his anger seethed through his voice.

The man smiled sluggishly his eyes closing up at the gesture, he snapped his finger and the rest of the guys in black suits comes behind him.

"Well..." he takes out a card from his pocket and walked towards them.

"If you change your mind, give me a call," he said handing the card over to mike who just stared at his extended hand.

"I will take that. Thank you..." Justin collected the card and smiled at the man.

"James." the man said. "The name is James," he said and walked out.

"You know he is making a good offer," Justin said as they walked to the arena where another match was ongoing. Mike gave him a look, his brows raised and his lips in a thin line.

"You are not going to be part of this bull crap are you?" he asked.
