We spent the next week preparing the formal alliance terms with my father's pack.

Drogo was cautious about every detail. He had Cole review the language. Had Derek verify the logistical aspects. Even had Rosa look over the parts about sharing resources in case of attack.

"You don't trust him," I observed one evening while Drogo was going over the document for the fifth time.
