Without Moon Ryeong's knowledge, the night had turned into the afternoon. She could see the sun shining through the forest from inside the cave. Moon Ryeong slowly lifted her head, her gaze shifting from Helios to the outside. She rose from her seat and moved slowly toward the cave's far corner. She wishes to see and feel the sun's rays. She can see how the sun light makes the forest look bright and beautiful from the cave. She remembers how warm the sun rays were before and wishes she could feel them again.
She is aware that the vampire can be burned by the sunrise, but she still wishes to feel it because she still cannot believe she is a vampire now. She reaches out her hand to feel the warmth of the sun, but as soon as it touches her skin, she is in excruciating pain, and she notices smoke coming from her skin. Moon Ryeong grits her teeth and frowns as she tries to suppress her pain. She then quickly withdraws her hand and sits on the ground. She is, in fact, a vampire.
Moon Ryeong knelt and hid her face between her knees. She begins to cry. She is a vampire who has lost everything she had as a human. She has evolved into a monster. She can hear everything around her, and her world becomes so noisy, her life becomes so noisy but so empty. She is suddenly lonely and frustrated. She kept feeling thirty of blood and wanting to suck it again and again, and the realization that she was living as a monster added to her heart's burden and pain. She raises her head and casts an angry glance at Helios, who is still unconscious. He is the one who turned her into a vampire. But when she looks at Helios, the tears start to flow again, and all of her rage fades.
He had lived a similar life for a long time before she did. He had more lonely and frustrate life than her. She finally understands why he became so cruel and cold. He's just lonely on the inside. She weeps for his loneliness and for him. She quickly wiped away her tears and stood up to approach him. She touched his face, and it was as cold as it had always been. He is extremely sweaty from the previous night and has lost a significant amount of blood.
'He'll die if he keeps doing this' Moon Ryeong thought again.
She then carefully opened his clothes to examine his injury and discovered numerous scars with dry blood all over his body. She looked around the cave for something she could do to treat his scar after checking it for the first time. Because of his lack of blood, he is unable to heal his injuries, particularly those caused by the sunsa knife. Moon Ryeong discovers a puddle of water in the cave's corner. She then attempted to lift Helios's body in order to get a better look at the puddle. She assisted him in sitting, wrapping his arm around her neck and slowly dragging his body to the puddle.
She ripped her white cloth and tossed it into the puddle when they were already close. She squeezed the tatter and began slowly and carefully cleaning Helios's dry blood and sweat. She was aware that Helios had some back injuries. She then leans Helios's front body against her and slowly opens the cloth to reveal his entire upper body. She can see some injuries on his back from the bullet and the sunsa knife stab. First, she must remove the bullet from his body. She takes a tiny knife from her pocket and tries to gouge the bullet out. When Moon Ryeong begins to do that, Helios moans in pain. Moon Ryeong then drew his head closer to her and hid his face behind her shoulder. She hugged him with her left hand firmly while trying to gouge the bullet with her right hand.
When Moon Ryeong successfully put out the bullet, Helios shouts, "Ahh....!!" Moon Ryeong exhaled a sigh of relief when she finally succeeded. She then hugged Helios with both hands, hoping to alleviate his pain. She could feel new blood dripping from Helios's back.
"He needs some blood," Moon Ryeong said, concerned. Even though she was looking out the window, the sun was still shining brightly.
"What should I do?" pondered Moon Ryeong.
She then rips her clothes again and wraps them around Helios's back, attempting to stop the blood from dripping. At the very least, she must make every effort to avoid further blood loss.
"mianhe... I should have done this last night," Moon Ryeong said, feeling guilty for letting him suffer all night. And now that the sun is shining, she can't do anything else for him because she can't get out of the cave. She simply wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning his head on her shoulder, and stroked his hair.
When the sun finally set, Moon Ryeong dashed out of the cave, intending to get some blood as soon as possible. She walks around the forest in search of animals. After a few minutes of wandering, she came across a deer eating some grass. She kills the animal reluctantly at first, but she has no choice. She eventually kills the deer and collects its blood in a bowl. When she sees blood, she wants to drink it right away, but she tries to resist the urge. She then goes to the cave and brings the blood to Helios.
She slowly lifted Helios's head and supported it with her left hand, while her right hand poured blood into his mouth. She can see that his injury is gradually healing on its own, but the sunsa knife stab on his hand and back cannot be healed.
"I should find the sunsa powder," Moon Ryeong said slowly.
She remembered and was familiar with the scent of Sunsa Powder, so she planned to look for it by its scent. She starts exploring the forest again, but she can't find it. She continued walking until she arrived in a town. She was aware that some of the town's medicine sellers also sold the powder. She then stole a pack of sunsa powder at breakneck speed, with no one in town noticing her presence.
Moon Ryeong gradually applied sunsa powder to Helios's back and hand, and the injury gradually healed. Moon Ryeong then returned her cold stare to Helios's face.
"You should live... so I can hate you for the rest of my life," Moon Ryeong said, her face expressionless and her eyes cold.
Helios finally awakens from his two-day coma in the late evening. He sat on the ground and slowly opened his eyes. He feels something wrap around his upper body and realizes it is Moon Ryeong's tatter cloth wrapped around his scars. All of the pain he had previously was completely gone. Helios touched the tatter on his body and remembered Moon Ryeong. He then looks around for her, but she is nowhere to be found. He became concerned and stood up quickly. He is concerned that he will never have another opportunity to see her. He is afraid she will abandon him and commit suicide, as she planned to do the last time.
Helios dashes out of the cave and looks around, but he can't find her either. His expression has completely changed, and he is terrified that something has happened to her. He then went on a search for her in the forest. He looks everywhere, but he can't find her. Finally, after some exploring here and there, he could smell her scent from a long distance. He sighed in relief and, without saying anything else, approached the source of the scent.
Moon Ryeong is alone on the edge of a ravine near a waterfall. She is staring silently at the sky, her face expressionless. Helios smiles as he confirms her safety and well-being. He is about to approach her when he is stopped by her voice.
"My king..." she says as she stares at the sky, a tear falling down her cheeks. She remembers her late husband, the king who was assassinated by her enemy. Her voice is low, but clear enough for Helios's keen ear to pick up on.
"Is there any way I can follow you and meet you again?" she asks. Helios's smile fades as he listens to her longing for the late king. His jaw hardens as he observes Moon Ryeong's expression when she remembers her lover, such a tender and caring expression that contrasts with what she always shows for him. This is not the first time he has seen her in this manner; a vivid memory from his past returns to him.
It's been weeks since Moon Ryeong left for Jeolla-do, and Helios's life has become darker and more boring without her. The absence of the great vampire made him feel empty inside for the first time. Helios was just staring at the entrance to his cave, his cheeck resting on his palm. He lacks the motivation to do anything and prefers to rest. He wishes the girl would come and visit him to lift his spirits.
At that moment, he notices a shadow walking closer to the cave on the entrance alley. He was just watching the shadow approach with no excitement in his eyes. When Moon Ryeong appears unexpectedly in the entrace, the vampire's eyes light up. Helios straightens his back to get a better look at the person who has just arrived. His face darkened as he realized he had simply misinterpreted it. Minister Choi, not his daughter, has come to pay him a visit.
Helios chuckles incredulously to mock himself, imagining things. How could he have imagined Moon Ryeong in such a way? Is he that attached to her? When he realizes what has happened, his eyes become cold.
Meanwhile, Moon Ryeong, who lives far from the capital, is preparing a meal for someone. She has lived in the temple since the first time she came to Jeolla-do to recover from her illness. She takes a thray of food to a specific room.
"I prepare your food," Moon Ryeong says to the person inside the room. Moon Ryeong opens the door after obtaining permission to enter.
"You don't have to bother yourself to look after me. Moon Ryeong-ah "A woman dressed in priest robes approaches her and assists Moon Ryeong with the food. The younger lady smiles shyly, telling the priest that she is not bothering her at all. They then begin to enjoy their meal together.
"How are you feeling right now?" The female priest inquires of Moon Ryeong with great concern. She is Kim Sun Bin, the deposed queen of Joseon who has decided to devote her life to the crown prince's mother as a priest.
"I've become much better as a result of your kindness," Minister Choi's daughter responds. The deposed queen smiles warmly at her response. They got involved in a friendly conversation.
"Madam, your son has come to visit you," a voice from outside announced.
Once she hears the announcement, Moon Ryeong's smile changes. The deposed queen is concealing her true identity from others; only the temple's head priest is aware of her true identity. As a result, she believes that no one will ever discover her true identity. But Moon Ryeong knew everything. She approaches the deposed queen in order to obtain her heart for her own hidden mission. A potential mission for her to become the queen of the future.
When Moon Ryeong learned that the priest's son would be visiting, she made every effort to meet with the son, the crown prince, who is the future king. Her desired future husband and now that he's here, it's her chance to make an impression on him.
"Welcome my son," the priest says to her son. The mother is greeted by a young man who enters the room. Moon Ryeong lowered her gaze politely as the man entered the room.
"Ah right! I want to introduce you to someone, she is someone who has been accompanying me lately, and thanks to her, I feel a lot of joy," the deposed queen says to her son. Lee Yoon.
Moon Ryeong raises her head to look directly at the crown prince, surprised to see a familiar man standing in front of her. For a brief moment, the young man appears as surprised as she is, but eventually smiles.
"My lady, it's good to see you here again," he said.
Moon Ryeong is taken aback; she had no idea that the man who had previously saved her was the crown prince she had always wanted to meet. She can't decide whether she had an unlucky or fortunate encounter with him, but then she realizes that their first meeting could actually be a way for her to start a good relationship with him more easily. As a result, she smiles.
The temple where Moon Ryeong stays is located on the peak of a mountain, and it is very cold but refreshing at night. The young lady was walking down the corridor when she noticed the crown prince standing alone on an empty ridge near the temple. Moon Ryeong observes the situation and decides to approach the man, unaware that a vampire has been watching her move from afar with a cold expression.
"May I join you in your enjoyment of the night, my lord?" Moon Ryeong asked from behind as she approached Lee Yoon. When the crown prince sees Moon Ryeong approaching, he turns around and smiles.
"I'd like to thank you and apologize for what happened previously. Thank you for saving my life, and I apologize for not thanking you right away and for treating you coldly "The young lady says politely and softly.
"It's okay, I'm just glad you're safe and sound," the crown prince responds kindly. It appears that he used to treat others with kindness. Moon Ryeong lowers her face and smiles sweetly, comforted by how he treats and speaks to her. Or at least, that's what she wants him to think.
"I actually regretted treating you poorly for days. I must admit that I was wary of you because I assumed you were a bad person, so I kept my guard up. But you did nothing but send me safely home. I feel terrible about letting you leave like that " She goes on.
"Don't bring it up; just dismiss it as something from the past," he advised. Moon Ryeong nods, and catch a glimpse of his expression. His smile never goes away. His sweet and kind smile delights her and causes the lady to blush. When the crown prince does not look in her direction, she smiles meaningfully.
Moon Ryeong's smile, however, does not last long as she looks in the direction of the forest. She discovers a dark and muscular creature standing tall there. Helios has arrived in Jeolla-do and has made an appearance in front of her. Moon Ryeong's smile vanishes in an instant, and she notices the great vampire's angry expression. She swallows her saliva as she notices him with a frightening expression.
"It...now it's late, then..." Moon Ryeong excused herself from leaving abruptly. The crown prince can see her fear in his eyes. He is concerned that her illness will relapse because she has suddenly turned pale.
Lee Joon wanted to ask her about it, but Moon Ryeong just walked away without giving him the chance. Her petite figure vanished in the darkness.
Moon Ryeong has a bad feeling about Helios's unexpected appearance there. Furthermore, he appears with such a cold and angry expression. She is afraid that if she stays with him any longer, something terrible will happen that will involve the crown prince. As a result, she decides to leave him right away.
"It's fancy to see you smile so sweetly in front of a man like that," a cold deep voice says after a quick gust of wind blows Moon Ryeong's back. Helios soon appears in front of the young lady and stops her from walking any further.
"My lord..." she says politely, lowering her face and trying to hide her fear from him.Helios yanks Moon Ryeong's chin and forces her to look at him. His cold gaze pierced hers. He scrutinizes her face with intimidating eyes, while the lady does her best to conceal her own horror. The great vampire grins and tilts his head.
"Who is he? Is he your secret sweetheart?" His voice has a threat and emphasizing tone to it. Moon Ryeong bites her lower lip, unable to respond.
