Chapter 2

Chapter 2

"Why aren't you wearing your clothes yet?" He frowned.

"How am I supposed to wear it if you don't get the hell out?" She looked at him stubbornly, with hatred in her eyes.

"Fine!" He walked out with a flourish.

Emma looked at his back and greeted his whole family up and down hundreds of times in her heart.

She quickly put on her clothes, opened the door, and went out. Seeing a lot of soldiers with bronze masks stand in a row on the stairs, she trembled in her heart and was sure that the worst thing had happened.

The soldiers downstairs have taken her father David White away. She did not see her father's appearance and only had time to see the back of him being escorted by two soldiers. David looked in the direction of the upstairs with worry and he thought about Emma.

The room was full of bronze masks. Emma was confused for a moment. Although she did not find the man who had just humiliated her, she had already made a mental note of this account.

Emma was pushed around by the soldiers and got into a military truck. She was thrown into a corner and taken to a remote suburb in a bumpy ride. She knew the place that was the largest prison in the capital.

"Get down," a soldier pushed her arm hard.

Emma pursed her lips and clenched her fists. She wanted to swing out her fist and slam the soldier who pushed her down and then kick him in the head, making him cry out, but she held back.

"Why are you arresting me?" Emma tried to find out the answer from the soldier's mouth.

"Shut up!" The soldier roared and pushed his gun against her back.

A sharp pain came, and Emma's body was covered with cold sweat. Damn, a group of scum, did not know the slightest bit of pity for the jade.

"Your mother ever taught you to be gentle with women?" Emma's demonic red lips shone with a seductive light in the dark night.

"Hmm?" The soldier froze, obviously not expecting a beautiful woman would burst into foul language.

Emma turned her head away, no longer paying attention to him.

Seeming to feel that his actions were a little rude, the young soldier restrained his actions to urge her to go.

She was locked in a small dark room. No one came to interrogate her, and no one came to find him. She did not know what had happened. In the dark, she could only hear her own breathing and the sound of the wind coming from afar.

She hugged her knees tightly and put her head against them. Why didn't she see Brother Luis? When Dad had an accident, how could his right-hand man be okay? Could it be that Luis had run away? With apprehension, she curled up in the corner and fell asleep in a daze.

Early in the morning, when the first glimpse of sunlight shone in through the humble window, Emma woke up, with lazy sleepiness still in her eyes, and a kind of childish confusion in the corners of her eyes. She wondered where this place was? Obviously, her brain forced her to forget the unpleasantness that appeared in the middle of last night.

With a click sound, the door was opened from the outside. She raised her head, and a sweet smile appeared on her delicate little face. She thought it was her father coming.

When she got a good look at the visitor, her shining eyes dimmed, the visitor was not her father, but a strange middle-aged man.

He was wearing a military uniform. No rank on his shoulders and no position could be seen, but looking at the obsequious look of the people following him, she knew that his position in the army would not be below.

"Is it Emma?" He asked.

"Yes," she nodded, unable to figure out what the other party was coming from.

"I'm your Uncle Hall, your father's best friend, my name is Frank Hall. Your father entrusted me to take you out because something happened," he smiled kindly and explained wisely when he saw Emma's wary look.

"Is that so?" She looked at the man who called himself Uncle Hall in front of her.

"Yes, David said he was afraid that you would be aggravated and asked me to come to pick you up!" He then took out David's hand badge.
