"Uncle Hall, but I'm still a student. I don't want to get married," Emma's eyes were red with a grievance.
"Don't want to get married? Is it that you don't want to marry Arthur? Or don't want to get married?" Frank slowed down his voice.
"Don’t want to get married,” She was afraid that Frank would choose Bryan for her. Although she had a little bit of affection for Bryan, he was not the ideal person to marry. So she instinctively thought of refusing.
"Dad, look, Emma doesn't even want to get married. You don't force her!" It was rare that Arthur would be on Emma’s side.
Emma looked at Arthur's back, secretly gnashing her teeth. This bastard, once he heard she was unwilling to marry, was as proud as a peacock and defied Frank bravely.
"Uncle Hall!!!" Emma drawled and her sweet voice fascinated Frank who responded her immediately and gave her a big smile.
Rose skimmed her mouth and did not know in the end this woman gave Frank what kind of soul soup that Frank would eagerly want Emma to marry her brother. Even if she refused to get married, Frank still tried to persuade her.
"Puff" Bryan finally could not stand, covering his mouth and laughing. He never thought Emma should be so cute.
Arthur glared at Bryan and planned to give his young brother a lesson.
Noticing the dangerous look from Arthur, Bryan hurriedly collected his mind, pursed his lips, and tried hard to control his laugh.
"Uncle Hall, I do not want to get married now. How about engaging first?" Emma enthusiastically held Frank's arm and looked at him with a smile.
"Well, since Emmie proposes to get engaged, I have no objection!" Frank nodded his head in a very receptive manner.
Arthur's head was full of sweat, and now he was slightly relieved. But he looked at Emma with more hostility.
Emma directly ignored his cold and stern eyes. She sat down on the chair in the opposite direction and helped Frank put food on his plate first. Besides, she also helped Frank neatly open a bottle of premium wine.
"This wine is very good, Uncle Hall, let me drink with you?" Emma ignored the three pairs of eyes staring at her but looked at Frank with a smile.
"Good! Emmie? Do you drink?" Frank narrowed his eyes.
"Of course, at home, I often accompany my father to have a couple of drinks!" Emma helped Frank pour wine.
"Is that so? I really envy David. He has such a well-behaved daughter!" Frank meant something.
"Dad, are you saying that I'm not good to you?" Rose pouted her little mouth in dissatisfaction and hurriedly peeled a shrimp for Frank and put it inside his plate.
"Not really, Rosie just has a lot of bad ideas!" Frank laughed loudly and ate the shrimp handed over by Rose.
"Dad, am I your daughter, or is she your daughter?" Rose looked at Frank with discontent as he put vegetables on Emma's plate.
"You are my daughter, and she is my daughter-in-law. You are all members of our Hall family!" Frank replied without raising his head.
"Dad!" Rose huffed and threw away her chopsticks.
"Oh, your father does not give you dishes, and I will help you," Emma hurriedly gave Rose dishes.
"Who needs your fake kindness? I do not like to eat green vegetables, pick out!" Rose picked up chopsticks to pick all the vegetables to Arthur's plate.
"I don't like them either!" Arthur disgustedly threw all the vegetables onto the table.
"Uncle Hall!" Emma looked at Frank with a grievance.
"Don’t waste food! Eat them!" Frank looked at Arthur with discontent.
"Dad, I don’t eat," Arthur stubbornly refused to bow his head.
"Are you going to eat or not?" Frank threw down his chopsticks and looked at him seriously.
Arthur changed his face and picked up the vegetables from the table to eat. He stared at Emma with malice and chewed the vegetable with strength as if they were Emma’s flesh.
"Uncle Hall, let me make a toast to you," Emma held a glass of wine and drank with Frank.
"David is blessed to have such a good and clever daughter!" Frank praised her and drank off the wine in his cup.
Remembering his father who was in prison alone, Emma's heart ached and she had to rely on alcohol to numb herself. But the mellow wine could not quench her pain.
Arthur stared at her with cold eyes. Watching Emma smile like a flower, he wished to smash her face. When he remembered Zoe’s soft look, his heart ached, and he clenched the chopsticks in his hand.
"Uncle Hall, I'm drunk," Emma's cheeks flushed, beautiful eyelids downcast, like a shy rose, open and untamed.
"You cannot hold your liquor like me. Arthur, take her to rest" Frank hiccuped.
Arthur had been thinking of leaving for a long time, and after receiving his father's order, he could not wait to kick Emma off the stool. But in front of his father, he did not dare to do that, so he unkindly lifted the drunken woman off the stool and carried her towards the guest room as if she was a puppy.
Bryan worriedly looked at her naive figure, as if in thought.
"Finally gone! Vermin!" Rose muttered, biting a mouthful of cucumber fiercely.
"Cucumbers can't even plug your mouth!" Bryan gave his sister an idle look.
"You!" Rose was furious, and she hadn't even thought that even her second brother was helping that vixen.
"You let go of me!" Emma was in an extremely unhappy mood being carried by him, and she struggled hard to keep him from carrying her.
The more she struggled, the greater the force in his hand. He took a few quick steps and finally went inside the guest room. He slammed the door and threw out the woman who struggled like a snake.
She let out a cry of pain and rolled onto the couch, looking at him with drunken eyes.
"You bastard!" She cursed him.
"You curse one more time!" He glared at her like a monster almost wanting to devour her soul.
"Bastard!" She grunted again and slowly closed her good-looking eyes.
He came closer to her, smelling the rich scent of wine coming from between her lips. Her sexy lips pursed. She felt extremely uncomfortable as if he was pressing down on her. She instinctively rolled on the ground like a slippery snake and burrowed out from under Arthur's confinement. But she was too drunk that just as soon as she stood up, the whole person fell feebly on the sofa again.
