"Arthur, bring the medicine box!" The voice seemed to carry vague anger.
Arthur ignored his words. He walked over past Rose and glanced at Emma who lowered her head without a trace and sat down on the sofa.
"Arthur? Didn’t you hear my words? Do I have to repeat it a second time?" Frank was already so angry that his face turned pale.
"Here it is. I bring it. Why are you so careless!" Bryan quickly took the medicine box out from the cupboard, and ran to Emma's side. He squatted to dress the wound.
Frank's face soothed a bit, but, when looking at Arthur, he gave him a warning glance.
Arthur hard shivered because he saw the anger inside the eyes of his father. If he dared disobey his will, he believed that his father would really take a gun and shoot him.
"Be careful next time. It doesn't matter if the mirror is broken. You shouldn't be so stupid to touch the broken glass with your palm." Bryan gently scolded her but she could understand his concern, so she gratefully gave him a bright smile.
"Bitch," Arthur cursed in his heart, and he was not happy with her fox-like appearance.
"Thank you!" Emma has never felt anyone's concern since her father was in prison, especially when she met a man like Arthur, she felt that the world was full of darkness. She was grateful for Bryan’s care.
"What are you talking about? You are a guest in our family and you are also my future sister-in-law. Of course, I should care about you," Bryan looked up and showed a sunny smile.
"What?" Emma was almost breathless.
"What did you say? What did you say?" Emma shook Bryan's shoulder and asked him repeatedly.
"Well, you can ask my father!" Bryan rubbed his forehead and said.
"Uncle Hall?" Emma inclined her head to look at Frank who had been silent.
"Yes, I plan to let Arthur marry you!" Frank slowly spoke.
Emma instantly felt like her head had exploded and her eyes were sparkling. She shook her head with great effort and tried to calm down. How could it be such a bad man? If it is Bryan, it will be a little better.
Before she could react, the man in front of her had stood up in anger, and she narrowed her eyes decisively, ready to watch the show.
"Didn't you say it was only an engagement? How did it become marrying her? How come you didn't even discuss it with me?" Arthur roared violently. His face was full of anger.
"You want to rebel?!" Frank was also angry, and his face became as black as charcoal. His body exuded a biting aura, scaring Emma to shrink her shoulders. Her small hands tangled twisting the corners of her skirt, and she looked as if she had been greatly frightened.
Bryan spared a glance at her movements. She seemed to be really scared, but he clearly saw the glimpse of gloating deep in her eyes. If he guessed correctly, Emma would definitely agree to his father's proposal. She would be very obedient to marry Arthur and make him have a hard time.
"Dad, are you reasonable? Didn't you say let us get engaged first? Why did you change your mind again?" Arthur clenched his fist in anger.
"I suddenly thought of it, can't I?" Frank glared at him.
"Dad, it’s your fault. Didn't you agree brother get engaged first?" Rose couldn't see her brother in difficulty, and petulantly took Frank's arm.
"You don't have to get involved," Frank knew what Rose was thinking and glared at her.
Rose skimmed her lips and winked at Emma without a trace, signaling her to help plead for mercy, but Emma hadn't seen enough of the show yet. How could she help Arthur plead for mercy? Besides, she could not allow others to make decisions for her marriage. She only wanted to get back at Arthur and watch him make a fool of himself, so she kept her head down and was indifferent to Rose's hints.
"Humph," Rose huffed and stomped her foot.
"Dad, instead of getting married, can we get engaged first?" Arthur took a deep breath and asked Frank with a calm tone.
"No way! If you don't get married, how can Emma stay in the Hall family?" Frank looked at him with a cold face.
"She can live here even if we don't get married. Just think of it as a loan, she can stay as long as she likes. She can pick any room here, how about it?" Arthur impatiently pointed to the family house.
"Brother, how is it possible? Why should she be allowed to pick whatever she wants?" Rose's face reddened with dissatisfaction.
"No way" Frank raised his eyebrows.
"Dad. You're determined to get us married, aren't you?" Arthur finally saw what his dad was up to and knew that his dad wouldn't change his mind.
"Yes!" Frank answered with pursed lips.
"Sorry, but you have been arguing for half a day. Why don't you ask me for my opinion?" It took Emma a long time to cut in.
"You!" Rose wrinkled her nose.
"What's wrong with me? You want Arthur and I to get married, and you don't even ask my opinion. This is my lifelong event. How can you do this?" Emma feigned anger.
"Yep, we should ask for your opinion. You also think this decision is too hasty, right?" Arthur had never felt that the daughter of the mob boss in front of him should be so cute and never felt that her voice would be so heavenly.
The first time she saw Arthur defeated, she felt in a good mood. Thinking that he had been so violent to her, she hated him very much. Finally, she could catch the opportunity to revenge him, and she just would not let it go easily?
"Uncle Hall, you know my father is in prison. His life and death are unknown. As his daughter, I am desperate to save him with all my might, right?" Emma said with some sadness.
"Hm?" Frank had an imperceptible subtle expression on his face, but then it was hidden. He slowly nodded his head.
"So, it is still early for my marriage and it must be presided over by my father. Otherwise, all other things are free from the discussion!" Emma shook her finger.
"This is your father's decision. If you do not believe, tomorrow I will take you to the prison, and you can ask your father yourself!" Frank said calmly.
"What?" This time it was Emma's turn to be surprised. How could Dad let her marry a complete stranger? He clearly knew that she liked Luis.
"How is it possible," Emma sneered in disbelief.
"Tomorrow I can take you to ask your father, so you don't have to worry about this!" Frank said with certainty.
This time, it was Emma who had a bitter face. She had thought that the initiative in this matter was held in her hands, but did not think that Dad had arranged her marriage. No wonder Arthur hated her like this. It seemed that he had long known the arrangement so he was so violent to her. But she was also a miserable victim.
