I looked at the files with a certain kind of fear. Although I had been loving every moment with Brian, I still wondered what the sudden change was about.

A part of me was still doubtful about this love that he was showing me.

"What is in the files?" I replied to the messages.

"Check them and find out," I received a reply.

Should I check them? What would happen when I find something that ruins everything between Brian and me? Was that what I wanted?
