Daisy's POV.
How dare she threaten me? Who did she think she was?
"Selena, I think you've had your fun, now listen to me," I said, trying to act calm.
"You were just a contracted girlfriend, and now your contract has ended. Was I there when you were signing the contract?" I snapped. "No, I wasn't. So, if you have any grievances or you want to demonstrate the height of your stupidity, call Brian or my parents!"
"Now, get the hell off my phone!" I yelled and hung up.
I had the urge to smash my phone against the wall, but this wasn't the movies and I shouldn't waste such an amazing phone over a stupid bitch like her.
"She has some guts to call me after everything she put through. The audacity of people these days is disgusting!" I hissed.
I entered into my room, and my phone rang again. I looked at the phone screen and it was the same number.
I rolled my eyes and gazed at my screen for a while. I didn't want to answer her, but wouldn't it be entertaining to hear her go mad?
I could even record the conversation for future laughs.
"Pathetic," I insulted before answering the call.
"You are an idiot for hanging up on me. Do you think I am bluffing about ending your life?" She demanded, her voice shaking.
"I don't think you are bluffing, I am sure that you are barking. Woof, woof, keep up with it," I mocked her.
"Brian is never going to love you. I am the only one that can get his attention without any effort—"
"Selena, why are you being so delusional?" I cut her off, smirking. "Brian gave you his attention because it was written in a contract. I know he would never glance your way even if you were naked!"
I just wanted to hurt her ego. She accepted to be a mistress and deserved to get some heat along with Brian.
"You are the one who's being delusional, you are expecting Brian to fall in love with you, but I will never let happen. I will also make sure you don't try to baby trap him again!"
Her words made me so angry. How dare she accuse me of such nonsense?
I wanted to answer her rashly and call her names, but I had a better way of making her swallow her words.
"Aww, Selena, you are more heartbroken then I thought. It's such a pity that you won't be able to see him again or even baby trap him like I will, isn't life unfair?" I uttered with this soft voice before bursting into laughter.
"Fuck you, bitch," I spat and hung up immediately.
"I should have recorded that," I scoffed and walked to my bed.
I removed the things that were on it, and laid down.
I didn't want to think of what she had said, but I couldn't stop myself.
"She has some nerves to say that she would kill me! Why is she so fucking jobless?" I rolled my eyes.
My phone buzzed and looked at it and saw a message.
"Your days are numbered, Daisy. You better start cherishing every...second of your life because it will all end in a flash," I read.
I suddenly felt chills running through me. Why did it sound more like prediction than a threat?
"I need to block her number."
I blocked her number, but couldn't stop thinking about her words for a while.
The night was a really uncomfortable one for me, but I was glad about the following morning. I would be leaving this house and heading to work.
"It's time for a good bath, a gorgeous dress and some delicious morning coffee!" I giggled, getting off my bed.
I went to freshen up and when I finished, I brought out my box from the wardrobe. I hadn't arranged anything.
I took out a beautiful green dress which was formal and perfect for work. I took out some heels as well and then my make up kit and whatever I needed.
I took some time to get ready, but I wasn't late at all. Once I was done, I grabbed my Stanley cup from the nightstand, phone, bag and left the room.
I went to the kitchen and saw Brian there again. He was the last person I wanted to see.
"Good morning," He flashed a handsome smile at me.
I could swear that his smile was glowing!
"Good morning," I replied, looking away from him.
"I made some breakfast and packaged your lunch for you," He said, showing me everything he had made.
The kitchen even had different aromas moving around it.
"Sit down and eat while I make you some coffee..." He proposed.
I didn't have the strength to argue with him, so I just sat down.
"I am not eating any of this because I don’t want to. I don't want to be late for work, so I won't play cat and mouse games," I made myself clear.
I ate the breakfast he made, and I was completely blown away by his cooking. The coffee he made for me also had a unique taste to it. Everything was good, even though I don't want to acknowledge it.
"Can I drive you to work?" He offered.
"No, I will take another car, I am sure that you have business to attend to," I said and stood to my feet.
I left the kitchen before he could say anything else. I went to take the car key from where it was kept and left the house.
I entered the car and drove into the road. Brian's place was a little far from the company, but I wouldn't be late at all.
"It feels so refreshing to leave that house," I smiled, taking a left turn.
I was enjoying my drive until I noticed through the rear mirror that a black 2017 Mercedes-Benz was following my car.
I thought I was thinking too much, but the car took every turn I made.
I decided to move faster and the car started speeding after me.
"That car is really following me," I panicked, stepping on the accelerator again.
"Why is it following me?" I asked and remembered Selena's threat.
"Did she send assassins after me? Oh my God!"
