Chapter 4
The man didn't say anything, glaring at her coldly.
He slowly raised the gun and chambered a round. Though he didn't point it at her, Avril shivered suddenly, not daring to say another word.
She hurriedly ran to the living room and grabbed a box of cold medicine, tossing it to him. He stared at the medicine, his eyebrows furrowing tightly. "Is there anything else?" "No..." The man was clearly gritting his teeth.
Avril knew he must be very angry, but there really wasn't any other medicine in her house. "Do you need anything else? I can help you get it." Anyway, she didn't want him to die in her house.
Even if the police found out, or those people found out, she would definitely not survive.
Avril had adapted to the darkness, and now she could vaguely see his face. His face was not that cold and unfeeling type, but rather carried a hint of arrogance, giving off a sense of aloofness, as if surrounded by an invisible wall, keeping others at a distance. On his handsome face, his almond-shaped eyes were squinted into a line, both inwardly hooked and outwardly raised, very captivating.
His curly hair covered his slightly furrowed brows. His pale lips were tightly pressed, and his dark eyes were full of pain. This person would fit perfectly as the male lead in her comic. Avril stared at his face intently.
His handsome face was flawless! Especially those deep black phoenix eyes, bright and sharp, exuding an imposing aura.
Dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, he appeared tall and muscular.
Although he was seriously injured, there was an unmistakable sense of nobility in his features, stunningly handsome. Despite his aloofness, he didn't seem stiff. His slightly curled hair was very fashionable.
However, it made people hesitant to approach. "Do you have scissors?" His pleasant voice trembled slightly, obviously in great pain from the gunshot wound.
Avril ran to the kitchen and brought back a pair of scissors. "Lighter, new towels!" Avril hurriedly fetched more items. She didn't utter a word, cooperating with him seriously. He had a gun!
If he didn't dress his wound properly, he wouldn't leave! Right now, she just hoped he would finish dressing his wound quickly and then leave.
If he died in her house, she wouldn't be able to explain it even if she had a hundred mouths.
Moreover, although this man was fierce, at least she was safe for now. Because if this man wanted to kill her, he would have done it already. She had seen his face, and he hadn't shown any intention to kill her, indicating that he wasn't a ruthless villain.
What Avril was afraid of now was that those people would come looking for her! If those people found out that there was someone hiding in her house, it would be really bad! "Disinfectant!" "..." Avril frowned, standing still.
The man looked up, raising an eyebrow, as if asking her why she hadn't moved. She honestly replied, "... No disinfectant." He glared, "Alcohol?" "..." She pursed her lips, frowning. "Do you have any alcohol?" His tone was impatient to the extreme.
"I don't drink." "Hydrogen peroxide?! It can disinfect!" Avril swallowed nervously and ran out, quickly bringing back a bottle of "Lao Chen vinegar" and handing it to him... Damn! Can "Lao Chen vinegar" disinfect wounds?
He felt like exploding with anger, wishing he could punch her to death! Damn it! He wasn't killed by bullets, but almost suffocated to death by this woman!
The man's face turned pale, and his pitch-black eyes squinted slightly from the pain. His stylishly curled hair seemed about to be straightened by anger... He stood up, staggering into the kitchen, took what he needed, and then walked into the bathroom. He took the scissors and cut open the blood-soaked white shirt. It was difficult to take off, and he threw it on the ground.
Avril followed him into the bathroom, and the man's naked body dazzled her eyes! She subconsciously widened her eyes... and stared.
