Chapter 12

"Didadidu" Suddenly, the harsh sound of police sirens pierced the night sky. In the quiet night, the sound of sirens seemed particularly abrupt.

Avril hid her phone back and ran to the balcony to look down. Two police cars were parked downstairs.

The police are here!

Then, several plainclothes police officers got out of the car.

Avril wanted to shout loudly! But the swiftly moving figures of the black-clad people across the street made her forcibly suppress the sound that was about to burst out of her throat.

Her heart was pounding wildly.

Downstairs, the unlucky security guard was being questioned again.

The detectives showed him some photos....
