Chapter 6

His eyes were hazy and unfocused, his mind in a foggy daze. Despite his disoriented state, his hot gaze remained fixed on her face.

Her rosy cheeks looked irresistibly attractive, and her crimson lips seemed like an antidote, tempting him to lean in and take a bite.

Her fair complexion bore a resolute expression, more alluring than the shy and delicate demeanor of other women.

He grunted, his body restless, and involuntarily reached out towards her.

Avril looked up and saw his hand reaching out. She hastily retreated, but his hand brushed against her.

It felt like an electric shock, making Avril shudder abruptly. Seeing him breathing heavily, his face alternating between red and white, Avril quickly turned on the tap and poured water over his head.

If she couldn't extinguish his fire with water, then she would have to be the fire extinguisher!

After a while, he couldn't hold on any longer. His body went limp, and with a thud, he toppled over her.

"Ouch!" It hurt! Avril felt like he had flattened her chest!

His chest muscles were as hard as rocks!

Avril winced in pain and slapped him, saying sternly, "You better not faint! I suspect those people will find this place soon."

With great effort, the man propped himself up with his arms. Avril rubbed her sore chest and then pushed against his chest, trying to push him off.

After a while, the man's willpower gained the upper hand. He sat up, panting heavily. Though tormented almost to the point of madness, he didn't make a sound. He checked the bullets in the gun—four. There were five of them.

Avril stared at him calmly and asked, "Do you want to get out of here alive?"

He suddenly looked up at her. In her bright, clear eyes, he saw a calm and intelligent light.

Her pretty face was serious. Her tone was calm and confident, earning his respect!

"Follow me!" Avril helped him up and led him to her bedroom.

Stopping by the wall next to the door, she suddenly raised her hand and pulled open the wall from the right side.

The wall... turned out to be a sliding door!

Extremely secretive!

The wall was painted with pastoral-style small flowers, red, green, and colorful, blending seamlessly with the adjacent walls, making it impossible to tell there was a door here.

Inside... hung with clothes. It turned out to be a wardrobe!

The scent of lavender perfume filled the air!

"I study art. I create visual confusion with exquisite compositions. Didn't you notice there's no wardrobe in my room?"

He looked up, scanning the walls covered in small flowers. "Did you paint all these walls yourself?"

"Yeah."

"Very high level," he praised.

"If you don't want to be caught, don't make a sound!" Despite the praise, Avril didn't hesitate to stuff him into the wardrobe.

She reached in, pulled out a pile of clothes, and threw them on him.

Closing the door in the wall, as long as she didn't say anything, no one could find out he was here.

Just as the door was almost closed, he suddenly sneered, "I definitely won't make a sound. I'm just worried you'll scare yourself and pee your pants before they even start interrogating you."

With a sharp pull, she yanked open the wardrobe door and glared at him. "You! Get out—now!" She was furious!

The man shut his mouth, found a comfortable position, and lay down.

"I saved you today, not for nothing."

He raised an eyebrow, his narrow phoenix eyes squinting at her. "If you have any requests, feel free to ask. Except for Ecula, you can walk sideways in any corner of the earth."

She gave him a sharp look. He didn't hold back!
