As a stream of expletives poured out, Emily rolled up her sleeves, ready to strike me.

Darlene simply watched, her eyes glued to Emily’s outburst.

Humiliated in front of so many people, Liam’s eyes reddened with fury.

“Liam, stop wasting time with her and teach her a lesson! That little bitch had the audacity to hit me. She’s overstepping her bounds!” Emily raged, still trying to lunge at me.

Darlene, lifting her dress, shouted to the security guards, “Get her out of here!”

Darlene’s parents rushed to the stage, attempting to console the sobbing Darlene.

“It’s alright, sweetheart. We’ll have the guards escort her out immediately.”

A dozen security guards arrived promptly, and Darlene’s demeanor shifted to one of arrogance. “Apologize to Liam and Mrs. Morgan right now, or you’ll be in serious trouble.”

Moved by Darlene’s fierce protection, Emily burst into tears.
