Five years later!!
"Am I late, Zordon?" Calvin asked his beta, Zordan Collin, who smiled and nodded. "Damn it! When will I learn to arrive on time for my dates?" he cursed, mentally preparing for the wrath of the love of his life.
Forgetting her birthday had been the first blunder. To make up for it, he had promised a dinner date, but he had even forgotten about that. He dreaded to think about how angry she must be.
He gestured for Zordan to leave as they reached the lawn where he had planned a candlelight dinner with her.
"She's not pleased," warned Nelina, who was standing by the entrance to the lawn.
"I know."
"Good luck." With that, she left to give them some privacy.
Calvin made his way towards the lawn, spotting her tapping her red shoes on the floor. Her hand was crossed over her chest, her blue eyes narrowed as she shot daggers at him. Calvin reflexively held his ears, noticing that all the candles had burnt out and the food had turned cold.
"I'm sorry," he said, starting to do push-ups in his tailored suit.
"You always say that, Calvin," she complained, shaking her head.
"I'm sorry. Please forgive me, love." Calvin apologized, aware that she was right. "Zordan didn't remind me about our date, or else I wouldn't have been late."
"I asked Zordy not to remind you. Remembering these basic things is your responsibility," she huffed, causing Calvin to inwardly curse, wondering when Zordy started reporting to her. After all, Calvin was Zordy's Alpha.
"I'm sorry, love."
"Enough," she halted Calvin's push-ups.
"Am I forgiven?" Calvin asked eagerly.
"No." She shook her head. "Take off your blazer."
"Ahem! Someone's getting cheeky. Want to spend time with me by the pool?" Calvin teased.
She facepalmed, muttering, "This is what I have to deal with."
"Alright, no pool. What then?" Calvin inquired, placing his blazer on a nearby chair.
"Two hundred push-ups."
“Oh no!!”
“Oh yes!!”
Calvin began doing push-ups without complaint. As he was doing this, his love walked towards him and settled onto his back as he lowered himself to the ground. "Comfortable?" Calvin asked softly.
"Hmm!!"
"By the way, I'm sorry again, Princess."
"It's okay, Daddy." Roselet Sophia Haysbert, Calvin's four-and-a-half-year-old daughter, replied, lying contentedly on her father's back. "I understand that you have a lot of work in both the pack and the human world, and you're a single daddy too."
"Hey, don't call me 'daddy'! I'm not that old," Calvin joked.
"Okay, Calvin." Rose giggled. "So, how was your day?" She asked, and Calvin shared an interesting part of his day with her in a funny narrative style, making her laugh at various points. He smiled, relishing the sound of her laughter. It was music to his ears.
When someone had left Roselet outside his pack five years ago in a box with a note claiming she was his illegitimate child, he had been overwhelmed with stress. He had often wished he could bang his head against the wall, especially when she cried. However, he had gradually fallen in love with her, without realizing it.
In his eyes, his daughter was the most understanding child in the world. He completed his two hundred push-ups, and then he carried his princess to her room.
"Grandma Nelina, please warm up the food in the microwave," Roselet instructed, and Nelina nodded.
"And set up the candles too," Calvin added.
"Of course."
As Calvin entered his room, he found a red shirt and black shorts laid out on the bed. They were meant for him to wear, matching Roselet's red frock.
"Give me a minute. I'll be back after a quick shower."
"Alright, Daddy." Roselet agreed. Calvin sat her on the bed and started unbuttoning his shirt. He tossed it aside and, grabbing a fresh towel, headed into the bathroom. In a werewolf pack like his, seeing people naked was no big deal to Roselet, but Calvin still avoided undressing in front of her, and he made sure everyone else did too.
"Offo!" Roselet shook her head when she saw Calvin's shirt on the floor. She picked it up, placed it in the laundry basket, and returned to the bed.
"Na..na.. na.. Na," Calvin emerged from the bathroom after five minutes, now wearing shorts and the same red shirt, tossing a wet towel onto the bed. "Just two more minutes, and I'll be done," he quipped, winking at her. While he got ready, Roselet picked up the wet towel from the bed and placed it in the laundry basket.
"Done! I'm ready for our date," Calvin declared, placing the comb back where it belonged.
"I think you should get married," Roselet said while they were having dinner.
"What? Why?" Calvin exclaimed between bites.
"Because you need a mommy. Someone to take care of you, 24*7," she replied, chewing her food.
"And what about you? Don't you need one?"
"No. I have you," Roselet replied, resting her head on his chest. "And I can take care of myself, unlike you."
"Very funny! I play along because I like it when you scold me like my cute little mommy," Calvin chuckled, tickling her gently.
Father and daughter finished dinner with smiles and laughter. Calvin sent her with Nelina, her nanny, to change into her nightclothes. He then read bedtime stories to her, but he fell asleep before she did. Roselet woke up quietly and noticed Calvin sleeping.
'Daddy must be really tired tonight,' she thought.
"Keanu, help your human body settle in bed," she said to Calvin's wolf, and soon, Calvin was asleep in a more comfortable position. She covered him with a blanket before lying down beside him. "Good night, both of you," she mumbled, yawning.
'Moon Goddess, please send Mommy for Daddy,' she prayed before drifting off to sleep.
Later that night, when Calvin woke up, he found himself sleeping comfortably, and his love was asleep beside him.
He covered her with a blanket before going back to sleep.

On the other side!!
Someone moved her fingers.
"Notify Dr. Liara that her patient has awakened from the coma," a junior doctor instructed a nurse, observing the movement in the lady who had been in a coma.
