"Mommyyyy!" Roselet came running from the living room when she heard the sound of the door being opened, finding Ethlyn in Calvin's arms, carried in a bridal style. "What happened to her, Calvin? Where was she?" she asked.

"Later, Rose. She needs rest," Calvin replied.

Without further inquiry, Roselet followed her father and watched as Calvin placed Ethlyn on the bed. It was then that she noticed Ethlyn's torn t-shirt. She quietly approached Ethlyn to check for injuries or any signs of distress on her mother.

"Mommy, please turn a little," she requested Ethlyn upon seeing her swollen neck. "Turn, Mom; I need to see what happened to you."
